Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is argue that some people thinks competition is good for personal and professional life, while others believe that we should try to cooperate more. While there are a variety of factors responsible for it, I believe competition is more importent to build a strong personality, also cooperation helps to improve bonding and communication with each others.

There are a numbers of reasons why some people are thinking that compition is a good things for human life. One possible reason is that, competition makes a person more energetic and strong. If they don't feel any strong reason to do their work properly they become leazy in future. For example, if students have no competant they don't feel to get highest number in exam. In school life, students study hard to achieve better marks from others. Also in work place, employee work hard to get promotion in their field, there also existe compition. On the other hand, if people are not cooperating with each others they cann't live in a society. Because, society teach us to cooperate with each other and stay happily. Cooperating people are also do better in their own life. For example, a student always helps his classmate to understand math, it helps him to make good relation with others and also improve his own skills by teaching them. In work life, a cooperative employee is always fevourite and he can achieve trust and respects from others.

Another possible reason is that, competition makes a person more confident and strong. He or she can do anything with his/her own believes and don't get week easily. But those people who are more cooperative, they face many trouble to help others. Most of the time they betrayed by others and lost his all cradiet.

In conclusion, competition is more importent part to build a person more strong and help them to organized his own life easily. On the other hand, cooperating people are suffer in his life to do good things for others.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and state a preference for competition, while acknowledging that cooperation can improve relationships and communication. Relevant examples include students studying for higher marks, employees seeking promotion, and a student helping a classmate with mathematics. However, the discussion is uneven and the position is not fully consistent: the final paragraph argues that cooperative people are often betrayed and lose credit, but this claim is not explained or supported, and the conclusion repeats the preference for competition without resolving the value of cooperation. Develop each view with clearer reasoning and explain how your examples support your opinion. The response meets the stated length requirement; nine words copied from the task prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the other hand,” “Another possible reason” and “In conclusion” help readers identify shifts. However, the overall progression is not clear: the first body paragraph moves between competition and cooperation, while the next returns to competition and then makes a broad claim about cooperative people. This makes the comparison difficult to follow. Some links are also awkward or unclear, such as “Because, society teach us…” and “But those people who are more cooperative…”. Organise the two views into separate, focused paragraphs, then connect them with clear references and transitions that show how each point relates to your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “promotion,” “confident” and “communication,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “strong” and “cooperate.” Noticeable spelling and word-choice errors also reduce precision, for example “compition,” “leazy,” “fevourite” and “cradiet.” Some combinations are unnatural, such as “get highest number in exam” and “achieve trust and respects.” Build a wider set of accurate collocations for discussing motivation, teamwork and achievement, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help distinguish the benefits and drawbacks of each approach.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex forms, including conditional clauses (“If students have no…”) and a relative clause (“a student… who helps his classmate”). However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in agreement and verb forms occur in examples such as “some people thinks,” “employee work hard,” and “they become leazy”; articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “a numbers of reasons” and “a good things.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation need attention, particularly in “Because, society teach us…” and the long sentence beginning “But those people…”. Practise building accurate sentences with subordinate clauses, and check subject–verb agreement, articles and plural forms before submitting.
