Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the new era of technology people are more interest in daily life activities. Some people believe that competition at work,at school and in daily life is better but other believe that try to manage more, rather than competing against each other. From my prespective, competition in daily life very useful because when we lose then we learn more things and try to better our weekness for the next time and also they help people to make physically and mentally strong.
On the one hand, mostly schools and bussiness are take more interest to held different type of competation for people to check their physical and mental health especially when they are working with team. Also citizen learn lot of things. For instance, Firstly, before the competition they make a lot of stretegies and make a practise to do better and on the contest day, they give their best. If they win they feel happy but even they loose they focus on their week spot and make effort to better for next time.
On the other hand, some people avoid contest and try to cooperate more with citizen those who are facing any difficulties in their life. For example, student stuck in their preparation for exam while other student guide them how to solve their problem and arranging the notes for them. which they can used for their exams.
The sum up of all the essay, I firmely believe that taking part in competition give people lot of things especially people learn how to make a stretegies immediately and focus on their weekness. Cooperate with peoples are also good but check their own ability through competition is best.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state a clear preference for competition, explaining that losing can help people identify weaknesses and improve. The examples about preparing for a contest and a student helping a classmate are relevant to the topic. However, the discussion is only partly developed: cooperation receives just one brief example, with little explanation of its wider benefits, and the reasons competition is “best” are asserted rather than fully supported. The opening also refers generally to technology without connecting it to the question. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits and possible limits of each approach, then show more clearly why your preferred view is stronger. The response meets the required length; 11 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs beginning “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a concluding paragraph. This helps readers identify the two positions. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear or repetitive: the first body paragraph moves from schools and businesses to teamwork, strategies, winning, and losing without a clear sequence. Linking expressions such as “Also,” “For instance,” and “Firstly” are sometimes awkwardly combined, and “The sum up of all the essay” does not form a clear transition into the conclusion. The reference in “which they can used” is also unclear. Organise each paragraph around one main point and use simpler, more accurate links between explanation and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “strategies,” and “physically and mentally strong,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors make the writing less clear or natural. Examples include “more interest” for “more interested,” “held different type of competation,” “weekness,” and “week spot.” Some phrases, such as “check their own ability,” are also imprecise in this context. Build a more accurate set of expressions for discussing competition and cooperation, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Aim for precise phrases such as “assess their abilities” rather than relying on repeated general words like “things” and “better.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional idea in “when we lose then we learn more things,” and you use basic paragraph-opening structures to organise the discussion. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “other believe that try to manage more” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “schools and bussiness are take” combines incompatible verb forms. In “student stuck in their preparation,” the subject and verb are not correctly formed, and “which they can used” has an incorrect verb construction. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check punctuation, especially sentence boundaries.
