Student answer (Band 5.5)
In every day life, we do experience comptition in every sector such as in workplace, at education instituition and even with all surronding people in our life. While some argue that we should contribute more in our socity, rather than copete with each other. I absoulately agree with that because i think if we stop competing against each other and do something better with unity then our socity will shine.
Competition is benefical for our personal growth and it's provide motivation to move forward in our life. Such as most of the students take study seriously and started to study sincearly when exam knock their door. This ia just only one example from the bucket, in every crucial sector we begin to take everything seriously when there is competitor available. Besides that, competition give us strength to find our potentioal because when someone else start to shine in their life, in that momment we also start to look for our possible expertise. In that sense, competition really play vital rule to make improvement in our daily life.
Howerver, depending on current senario we are getting robotic, self-centric and inconsidarate in our life, because we all after sick competition. People start to think only for themselves rather then our socity and environment. Because of that unintentionally we are causing problem for oue surronding and we are not bringing any benefit for our country or universe. For example, In bangladesh just to compete with neighbour people are making home in agricultural field because of the reason food crisis start to arise. Apart from that, in school if we teach start to teach puppils to compete with each other then their brain with stop thinking in unique way and will be stuck in limited area. As a result, our future generation will be in threat and will not bloom the way they supposed to be,
In conclusion, while healthy competition is benefical and can show to path for the future in limited area. On the other hand, if we stop competing against each other then it will help our brain think about broaden area and help us to create strong bond with other people. And it will give us opputunity to do something good for our socity. So i strongly agree with this idea.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You discuss both sides and state a clear preference for cooperation in the introduction and conclusion. The benefits of competition are supported with examples about students preparing for exams and people recognising their abilities when others succeed. You also explain possible harms, including self-centred behaviour and building homes on agricultural land in Bangladesh. These are relevant responses to the task. However, some points are not fully explained: the claim that competition limits pupils’ ability to think uniquely needs a clearer link to how cooperation would improve learning. Your position is clear, but the argument would be stronger if you weighed the value of healthy competition against the risks of excessive rivalry and developed that distinction more consistently.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Besides that,” “However,” and “As a result” help show relationships between ideas, and the examples generally appear beside the points they support. At times, though, connections are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “This is just only one example from the bucket” does not clearly introduce the wider point, and the shift from competition harming society to its effect on pupils could be signposted more carefully. The conclusion also repeats the preference for cooperation without clearly synthesising the discussion. Use clearer topic sentences and make each paragraph’s progression explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “personal growth,” “motivation,” “potential,” “self-centric,” and “food crisis.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: examples include “comptition,” “surronding,” “benefical,” and “inconsiderate.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “competitor available,” “find our potential,” and “show to path.” The range is sufficient to communicate the main ideas, but inaccurate forms and repeated general wording limit precision. Build a reliable set of topic collocations and check spelling carefully; choosing simpler, accurate expressions is preferable to using an ambitious phrase that does not fit its context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “when,” and “if.” This allows you to explain causes and consequences, as in the sentence about competition making people think only for themselves. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “it's provide motivation” should use a verb form that agrees with the subject, while “competition give us strength” also needs subject–verb agreement. The opening “While some argue…” is a fragment, and “if we teach start to teach pupils” contains a faulty construction. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly around sentence openings and the conclusion. Review sentence boundaries and basic agreement patterns while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
