yBy comparing the plan there is major difference is in 2000 there is one dock now there is two dock now there have add more Showers and toilets there is change in the place of fishing boats and Marina ( private yachts) and install new place of cafe's and shops in 2000 tere is public beach for castle (disused) and today there is development in hotel with private beach. By the major difference in Porth Harbour in 2000 and now very good and nice development it increases the public interface and the area is developing more and more then other area By adding the hotel with private beach it is incredible idea because the hotel public get privacy. By increasing in public they have added the one more Shower and toilets in public beach and the area of fishing boats is increase as compared to 2000 and Marina private yachts area has decreased. So there is good development in Porth Harbour

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response identifies some key changes, such as the addition of docks, showers, and the hotel. However, the report lacks a clear overview and fails to present the information in a structured, analytical way. The inclusion of personal opinions, such as 'it is incredible idea', is inappropriate for an Academic Task 1 report, which requires an objective summary of data. Furthermore, the description of the changes is somewhat repetitive and lacks precision in comparing the two time periods. To improve, focus on grouping features logically (e.g., infrastructure vs. facilities) and avoid subjective commentary.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The response is written as a single block of text, which makes it difficult to follow. There is a lack of paragraphing, which is essential for organizing information in a report. Cohesive devices are used in a very repetitive and mechanical way, with almost every sentence starting with 'By' or 'In'. This creates a disjointed flow. To improve, you should use clear paragraph breaks to separate the introduction, overview, and specific details, and use a wider variety of linking words such as 'furthermore', 'in contrast', and 'consequently' to connect your ideas more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic verbs like 'add', 'change', and 'increase'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'hotel public get privacy' and 'install new place of cafe's'. The use of apostrophes in 'cafe's' is grammatically incorrect. To achieve a higher band, you need to use more precise terminology related to maps and urban development, such as 'expanded', 'converted', 'relocated', or 'constructed'. Expanding your range of descriptive adjectives and nouns will help you convey information more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'there is two dock', 'there have add') and article usage. Sentence structures are mostly simple, and there is a lack of complex sentence forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with run-on sentences and missing commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree, and practicing the use of complex structures like relative clauses or passive voice, which are particularly useful for describing changes in a map.
