The plans below show a harbour in 2000 and how it looks today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The images reflect a view of a harbour in 2000 and today. At a glance, the majority of changes has been done on private beach and the amenities which are connected to the main road while on the public beach just numerous changes has bee made.

At first, on a private beach, the cafes and shops has been constructed near to the lifeboat area. Also, the castle which is located on the south east of private beach which is disused, it is transformed into a hotel and a new road forked from the road which to go to lifeboat. Furthermore, the area in bottom is also has been given to the hotel. While, at public beach in north, just a new dock has been added. But in the west, the location of marina and fishing boats has been swapped. And the area for toilets and showers was added above the car park which is located in south west.

Overall, the areas of south-west contains more changes than the north east areas.
