Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the task by identifying the main changes between 2000 and the present. You have successfully highlighted key developments such as the replacement of the castle with a hotel and the relocation of the marina. However, the description is somewhat cluttered, and some details are slightly inaccurate or confusing, such as the reference to 'private hatch' (likely meaning yacht) and the unclear explanation of the fishing boat area. To improve, ensure that your overview clearly synthesizes the most significant trends rather than just listing individual changes. The report covers the main features, but the lack of clarity in some descriptions prevents it from reaching a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'additionally', 'furthermore', and 'in addition to it'. However, the flow is occasionally disrupted by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. Some transitions feel mechanical, and the referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'the fishing boats section was replaced by previous place of marina private yacht'. Improving the logical progression between sentences and using a wider variety of linking words would enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it lacks precision and contains several errors in word choice and collocation. For example, 'private hatch' is likely a misuse of 'yacht', and 'east costal part' contains a spelling error. You also use 'the' incorrectly in several places, such as 'the the one more dock'. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'marina', 'facilities', and 'amenities', the frequency of errors in word formation and spelling limits your score. Focusing on accurate collocations and proofreading for basic spelling errors will help you achieve a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentences, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('the maps illustrates', 'the area have become', 'cafe shops is built'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence construction. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent and noticeable. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your sentence structures are grammatically sound. Reducing the number of minor errors will significantly improve the clarity and professional tone of your writing.
