The plans below show a harbour in 2000 and how it looks today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The map illustrates the facilities provided by Porth Harbour in 2000 and newely additional services in the present time.
Overall, presently few services have been added such as the number of toilets,showers, shops and cafes to make its more appealing.
In 2000, porth Harbour had only one dock in north-direction and the castle was in south-east direction.However, in new arrangements the castle is replaced by a hotel at the same place and one more dock is added for passengers. Previously, public beach is accessible to all, which has now turned into private beach and not open for public at present times.
In recent services, the devoted place for fishing boats and marina yachts has been exchanged with one another. Another facilities cafe and shops in the south-west direction have been constucted besides the road. Moreover, additonal shower and cafe area has been inculded in west direction of the premises.
