Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the two time periods and mention several relevant changes, including the addition of cafés and shops, the hotel replacing the castle, the private beach, and the relocation of the fishing boats and marina. However, the overview is unclear: describing the present map as “moden” and saying it has “many feature” does not summarise the main spatial changes precisely. Some details are inaccurate or unsupported, particularly the claim that the roads are “two way”; the maps show roads, but do not indicate traffic direction. The comparison of the dock is also unclear. To strengthen the response, give a concise overview of the major redevelopment, then accurately describe the changed locations and facilities.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has separate paragraphs and attempts to organise information with “Overall,” “Firstly,” and “On the other hand,” so there is some basic structure. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the overview repeats general comments rather than setting out the main changes, and later points are not grouped clearly by location or feature. For example, the final paragraph moves from the marina and fishing boats to toilets, the dock, and car access without clear links. Some connectors, such as “However” and “after that,” do not express the relationship between the ideas accurately. Organise the response into an overview followed by focused comparisons, and use linking phrases only when they clarify the relationship.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “marina,” “fishing boats,” “private beach,” and “showers and toilets,” which helps identify features on the plans. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, such as “map,” “features,” and “today map.” Frequent spelling and word-form errors—including “smiple,” “moden,” “chaning,” “hotal,” and “avilable”—make parts of the description harder to understand. Some expressions are also imprecise: “other thing” and “dock are more than today have” do not communicate a clear comparison. Build a small bank of accurate map vocabulary and practise spelling it; use precise terms such as “facility,” “relocated,” and “expanded” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple sentences and longer comparisons, for example, “However, Today map is moden and add some new features,” but control of sentence structure is limited. Errors in verb forms and agreement occur throughout: “The map illustrate,” “2000 map have,” and “features are adds.” Articles and sentence boundaries are also often missing or inconsistent, as in “In today map have many feature are adds,” while the final sentence contains several clauses that are difficult to parse. Capitalisation after full stops is inconsistent, and commas sometimes join ideas without a clear grammatical structure. Practise accurate simple comparison sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “while” or “whereas,” checking subject–verb agreement and articles.
