Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify that the harbour has changed and mention several relevant developments, including additional showers and toilets, cafés and shops near the lifeboat, and the hotel replacing the former arrangement. However, the response only partially summarises the plans: it gives little precise information about the major spatial changes, such as the exchange of the marina and fishing-boat areas, and the added jetty. Some claims are unsupported or inaccurate: the plans do not show an increase in passenger ferries, nor do they establish that the changes attract youngsters or that visitors admire the harbour. The overview that leisure and luxury have increased is relevant but too general. Select the main changes accurately and compare their locations to make the summary more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic sequence: an opening statement, several details, and a concluding comparison. This gives the reader some sense of organisation, and phrases such as “Some of the locations shifted” signal comparison. However, the progression is not consistently clear because the details are not grouped by area or type of change, and the conclusion largely repeats the opening idea about increased activities. Connections such as “In comparison and conclusion” sound mechanical, while “Some of the locations” is vague and does not clearly identify what moved. Organise the report into a brief overview followed by logically grouped changes, and use precise references to the features being compared.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “harbour,” “marina,” “lifeboat,” and “public,” and attempt more descriptive language with “drastic change” and “variety.” This gives you a minimally adequate range, but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for a map report. “The main attraction for the youngsters” and “people admire the harbour” introduce speculative ideas rather than describing the plans; “activities add up for the hotel” is also unclear. Spelling errors such as “activties” and “Lesiure” are noticeable, and “shopping” is less precise than the map label “cafés and shops.” Prefer neutral, exact terms for facilities and changes, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, but control is inconsistent and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward. For example, “the rise of cafes and shopping … are the main attraction” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “a marina private yachts are” lacks a clear grammatical construction. In “Necessities for the public have been increase,” the verb form is incorrect, and “currently have two” is missing an auxiliary and a clear subject. The sentence beginning “In comparison and conclusion” also has an awkward clause structure. Practise accurate present and past forms when describing changes, and check agreement, articles, and complete sentence patterns. Clearer, shorter sentences would help communicate the comparisons reliably.
