Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the modern era, weekends is very relevant for individuals to spend their leisure time with their family. The working on weekly basis should be less and employees should offer longer holidays. This essay will articulate the perspectives of an agreement in forthcoming paragraph.
To commence with the predominent point, longer holidays is essential for human life. To be more precise, employees can become relaxed and they can be mind freshed during longer holidays and can spend more time with their family. For example, my uncle who is doing job at Dubai getting longer vacation and exploring the tourist destination with their family and he is very happy there. As a result, employees can do their work with patience and by focusing on their work. Consequently, it is very beneficial for employees to do their job for few days.
To begin with other perspective is that, there are multiple things to do during longer vacations which is to try new things. To elaborate further on this point, it can become beneficial for employees to learn new things. A clear example of this would be, my neighbour who were use to try different things during their longer holidays because he was free at his home. As a result, Employees can present their innovations and ideas to their boss which they had learned during their longer vacations.
To recapitulate, many of the individuals are getting longer holidays during their work period. Moreover, employees have rigt to get longer vacations during their work period and should have to learn new things during their longer holidays.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is generally clear: you support a shorter working week and longer breaks, and you give relevant reasons, including family time, relaxation and learning new skills. The example about your uncle’s holidays helps illustrate the personal benefits. However, the response does not fully develop the central proposal of a shorter working week: it focuses mainly on longer vacations and does not explain how reducing weekly work hours would affect workers or employers. The point about learning new things is also asserted rather than explained in detail, and the conclusion introduces the idea that workers have a “right” to longer vacations without establishing it. Develop each reason with a clearer link to the specific proposal and a fuller explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas are grouped into relevant themes. Linking expressions such as “For example,” “As a result” and “To recapitulate” help signal relationships between points. However, some transitions feel mechanical or do not accurately describe the paragraph’s function: “To begin with other perspective” follows a paragraph that has already begun the argument, while “To commence with the predominent point” is awkwardly phrased. The relationship between shorter working weeks and longer holidays is also not consistently clear, which weakens progression. Use topic sentences that directly state each distinct reason, and make references such as “this” or “they” clearly point to a specific idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “leisure time,” “employees,” “innovations” and “vacations,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “To elaborate further.” However, several word choices and collocations are unnatural or imprecise: “mind freshed,” “doing job,” “longer holidays is essential” and “work on weekly basis” do not sound idiomatic. “Predominent” and “rigt” also contain spelling errors, while repeated use of “longer holidays” and “employees” limits variety. Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “feel refreshed,” “take time off” and “reduced working hours,” and vary repeated terms where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “who” and “because,” and most of the message remains understandable. Some grammatical errors persist, particularly with subject–verb agreement, articles and verb forms. For example, “weekends is” should use a plural verb, and “longer holidays is essential” has the same agreement problem. In “my neighbour who were use to try,” the verb construction is faulty; a correct form would be “my neighbour, who used to try.” Articles are also missing in phrases such as “doing job.” Work on checking agreement between subjects and verbs, and practise forming relative clauses and past habits accurately. These corrections would make your varied sentence attempts more controlled.
