Student answer (Band 5.0)

In modern society, many individuals think that 5 days shift of work should to be shorter, and change it to longer rest weekend.I accept that in some sides that working week is slightly long. However, longer weekend can be unuseful time for the people or for country economy.

Firstly, work is important thing for better life in earth and better incomes for the people by them selfes or for the gouverment. Imagine that life with out working and just playing and enjoying, in to outside of image you probebly say that is good thing, but in inner image you see just random life with not purpose.

Furthermore, long period weekend may provide high score of robbery and especialy on oline by hacking, as workers took a time for rest and forget about to work and thats happend all time like we see with bank in India that get hacked because of holidays.

However, many people think that rest is somthing you can not live with it and it is somthing obligation after work for recovery after tired plus long shift of jobs.

Moreover, longer weekend provide big time to do other useful tasks to do and working week can not provide that to them like visite their famillies and play extra time with their children.

Nevertheles, last two points are not all valid, as longer weekend can not give them what they want and in some cases work is useful than rest all the time, as provide somthing to do and be active for it, but rest can provide just deaseses like obesity and overwight, because of laziness.

To conclud, The working week should not be shorter for having a longer weekend. Although, rest should not forget about it important and argue with that, I believe that the cerent system of work is perfect with not any changing either in time of work or weekend.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a recognisable answer to the question and state your position: “The working week should not be shorter,” while acknowledging that some people value rest and family time. This addresses the agree/disagree task, but the position is not consistently supported with clear, relevant reasoning. The claim that longer weekends could lead to more online robbery, for example, is difficult to connect to the proposed change and is supported only by a brief reference to a bank in India. Other points—such as work giving life purpose and rest causing obesity—are asserted rather than explained. Develop two or three relevant reasons, clarify how each supports your view, and use a specific, credible example. A more consistent explanation of why the current schedule is preferable would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, several body paragraphs and a conclusion, and linking expressions such as “Firstly,” “Furthermore,” “However” and “Moreover” show an attempt to organise ideas. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow: the discussion moves from work and income to hacking, then to recovery and family time, before returning to the disadvantages of rest. Some links are mechanical or do not clearly express the relationship between ideas; “Nevertheles” introduces a point that is not clearly contrasted with the preceding paragraph. The conclusion also repeats the position without drawing together the main reasons. Group related arguments into a clearer sequence, use topic sentences to signal each paragraph’s purpose, and make sure each connector accurately reflects the logic.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “recovery,” “economy,” “robbery,” “obligation” and “active,” and some choices help communicate your general meaning. However, the range is limited by frequent spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word combinations, which sometimes make the reader work to understand the point. Examples include “5 days shift,” “unuseful time,” “high score of robbery” and “inner image.” Several words are also used in unsuitable forms or contexts, such as “deaseses” and “cerent system.” Build accuracy with common collocations for work and rest, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Choosing simpler, precise expressions is more effective than attempting phrases whose meaning is unclear.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “Although,” “because” and “as,” but control is inconsistent. Many sentences contain errors in basic structures, and complex attempts are often difficult to follow. For instance, “many individuals think that 5 days shift of work should to be shorter” has problems with the noun phrase and verb pattern, while “longer weekend provide big time” has subject–verb agreement and article issues. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, as in “weekend.I accept” and “Furthermore, long.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, plural forms and verb patterns, then build longer sentences from those reliable structures. Clear, correctly punctuated sentences will make your reasoning easier to understand.
