Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays , people get frustrated by doing 9-5 job and not get proper time for rest as expecting a shorter duration of time to work . Also some areas people have demand of having longer weekend comparing to the hours of work they do. I partially agree with the given statement.

On one hand , Most of the cooperative jobs have been hectic. As compares to the weekend or freshtime work load are more. Also assigning the task that cannot be complete in a week had to seat on weekends and finished it. So, there rest and family times had been cuttoff and got traumaties by there work. From my experience , a lot of work has been alotted to me although there is less time to complete. For that , I have to work on weekends to complete the pending work. In addition , My weekends had been spoil and not get enough sleep or other houseold work.this for people how had a lot more work.

On other hand , There is always a two of everything : positive as well as negative. if the working slot had been reduced then it led to the increasing employment laziness. also may have chance of not finishing the task on given time. For instances, if the person had more week holiday than the one who always stays outofstations and giving excuses for not completing the work. and as the time of salary came to ask of money not properly work in a month.

Overall , There is always work should be a set to give in a week and a proper two days weekend to emplyoment for rest and explore but also there is not a less working days as it can harm to the hirier only.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear, though qualified, response with “I partially agree,” and discuss both the pressure of heavy workloads and possible drawbacks of shorter working hours. Your personal example of having to work weekends is relevant and helps explain the effect on rest and family time. However, the position is not fully resolved: the conclusion calls for a two-day weekend but also says there should not be fewer working days, leaving your exact view of a shorter working week unclear. The opposing argument about laziness and unfinished tasks is asserted rather than explained or supported, and some points about salary are difficult to follow. State precisely what change you support and develop each main reason with a clear explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. Phrases such as “On one hand” and “On other hand” signal the intended contrast. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the second body paragraph moves from reduced hours to laziness, unfinished tasks, an unclear example about someone staying out of station, and salary. Several links are mechanical or inaccurate, and references such as “this” and “there” do not always make the connection between ideas clear. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain it in a logical sequence; use linking expressions only where they accurately show the relationship.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to work and its effects, including “hectic,” “pending work,” “employment,” and “salary,” and you communicate the general topic throughout. However, the range is limited and many word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the intended meaning hard to understand. For example, “freshtime work load” and “employment laziness” do not express clear ideas, while “my weekends had been spoil” uses an unsuitable form and collocation. Spelling and word formation problems, including “traumaties,” “alotted,” and “emplyoment,” also reduce clarity. Build a reliable set of phrases for workload, working hours, productivity, and work-life balance, and check that each word fits its context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “although” and “if.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence construction and in attempts at more complex forms. Examples include “people get frustrated by doing 9-5 job,” “if the working slot had been reduced then it led,” and “there is not a less working days.” Problems with verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries make several ideas difficult to interpret. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, particularly after commas and at the start of sentences. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time and check subject–verb agreement and tense.
