Student answer (Band 5.5)
Employees should have a longer vacation and shorter working weeks. I strongly believe that with this view point, because having more free time allows workers can become productive, strenthen and spend time with family as well as reduce traffic congestion.
On the one hand, there are many reasons a longer weekend and shorter working weeks can have positive impact on employees personal life. One of the major reasons is that people have enough time to spend with their family and close friends. Many people have busy schedules and limited opportunity to give them with their love ones. For example, working for long hours, people become tired and exhausted, as they can reduce ability to well. However, Longer vacation provides citizen to visit new places; moreover, remove stress and refresh their minds. As a result, they return their work with better concentration and perform good performance. Having more time to rest and taking healthy food and exercise to keep healty.
Moreover, working shorter weeks and longer vacation can reduce traffic congestion. In Bangladesh, many employees travelling their work place, using car and motor cycle. It creats heavy traffic on the road. Sometimes, individuals can face difficulties during the rush hours. Working short weeks employees can not visit their work place, it helps to reduce traffic and accident.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that employees should have longer holidays and shorter weeeks for working. Additionally, people get more free time to visit new places and spend quality time with family and love ones, as well as stay productive health.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you strongly support shorter working weeks and longer weekends, and you give relevant reasons involving family time, wellbeing, productivity and traffic. The examples about tired workers and commuting in Bangladesh help connect the argument to real situations. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that fewer working days reduce congestion would be stronger if you explained how staggered schedules or fewer commuting days affect traffic. The discussion also shifts between “weekend,” “vacation” and “holidays,” which makes the proposal less precise. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation and ensure it directly supports the specific change in the question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. The progression from personal benefits to reduced congestion is logical, and linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “However” does not clearly contrast with the preceding point about tiredness, and “As a result” introduces a consequence without a fully clear link. The sentence beginning “Having more time to rest” is also disconnected from the surrounding explanation. Use cohesive devices to show precise relationships between ideas, and make sure each paragraph develops one connected line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “traffic congestion,” “limited opportunity,” “concentration” and “rush hours,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “quality time” and “close friends.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable: “longer vacation” does not consistently express the weekend proposal, “perform good performance” is unnatural, and “strenthen,” “creats” and “healty” are misspelled. Some phrases, including “visit their work place” and “stay productive health,” are difficult to interpret precisely. Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships and checking spelling and word forms, while keeping the vocabulary focused on the task.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because having more free time…” and a result structure with “As a result.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and verb patterns are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “I strongly believe that with this view point” is incomplete, while “allows workers can become productive” combines incompatible verb patterns. “They return their work” also needs a clearer grammatical construction, and “working short weeks employees can not visit their work place” lacks a clear clause structure. Practise building complete sentences with one main verb pattern, and check subject–verb relationships, articles and punctuation.
