Student answer (Band 5.5)
The working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend so, they can reduce their work pressure and can get prepare for upcoming week, moreover they can spend quality time with their family members. I agree to this opinion to some extent because workers also have responsibilities of their family members and they are required to work hard to meet their requirements.
First and foremost, one day or two day weekend is not enough for workers to take rest and they will not be prepare for upcoming week. Because, they have already work for the whole week like machines, most of the people do not get enough time for themselves and to spend with their families. A large number of people often make plans to go to clubs and bars with their colleagues or friends, but they are not able to do so, the reason is that they do not get enough time to spend their weekend with their own will. Consequently, it cause frustration and stress in many people.
For instance, a large number of individuals are not able to spend quality time with their kids because they remain busy for doing other tasks on their weekends, if they get longer weekends, in resulting they are able to make unforgetable memories with their children.
Whereas, workers should get only 2-3 days weekend, as the inflation is increasing day by day, therefore it is very necessary to workhard to fulfill the necessities of every household. People can do overtime during weekdays so, they can earn money. But work and life balance should be balanced. For example, if working force will only get a weekend of only 2-3 days, in this way their work and life will not be affected.
To conclude, although I believe that workers should get longer weekend, as a result they can spend it with their own will to relieve strees. But it should not that longer that it will create peoblems for people to earn their living.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree to a degree, supporting longer weekends for rest and family time while recognising that workers need sufficient income. These points are relevant, and the examples about spending time with children and working overtime help address both sides of the question. However, the discussion is unevenly developed. The benefits of extra time are explained in some detail, whereas the concern about household expenses and the claim that a two- or three-day weekend would protect work-life balance are asserted rather than fully reasoned through. Clarify exactly how much shorter the working week should be and explain how employers or workers could manage the resulting income or workload changes. This would make the argument more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the main ideas are generally grouped by topic. However, progression within paragraphs is not always clear, and linking words are sometimes mechanical or inaccurate. For example, “Whereas” begins a paragraph that presents a contrasting point but is not followed by a complete contrast structure, while “therefore” and “so” are used repeatedly to connect ideas. The example about children also runs into the preceding point without a clear transition. Use simpler, more precise links and make each paragraph’s central claim explicit; then connect each explanation and example directly to that claim. This would improve the flow and reduce repetition.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including relevant terms such as “work pressure,” “inflation,” “overtime” and “frustration.” There are also attempts to express more specific ideas about family life and employment. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, which makes some phrases sound unnatural: “get prepare,” “work like machines,” “spend their weekend with their own will,” and “work and life balance should be balanced.” Spelling errors such as “unforgetable,” “strees” and “peoblems” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully. More precise phrasing would help you express your argument clearly without relying on repeated general words such as “people” and “time.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “although” and “if,” so there is some variety in structure. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction are frequent enough to make parts of the response difficult to follow. Examples include “they will not be prepare,” “they have already work,” “it cause frustration,” and the concluding structure “although I believe … But it should not that longer.” Several sentences also join independent ideas with commas, as in the opening sentence. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and make sure each sentence has a complete, clearly connected structure. Shorter sentences can help you control accuracy while you continue developing complex forms.
