Student answer (Band 6.5)
In this competitive era , a drastic change can be seen in the working hours of the people . However, some people consider that duration for working hour should be shorter .I strongly agree with the view that there should be long weekends and limited working hours for the welfare for people .
I firmly believe that more working days for people could have detrimental effect on their health and could enhance the chances for stress which results in reduction of creativity , productivity and curiosity in their lives . further , mankind cant break monotony of their hectic schedule owing to longer working weeks . They wouldn't be able to spend quality time with their family , friends and relatives.
Further enchancing my view, there will be loss of interest in the work an declination of ideas in their mind. To cite an example, there will be no way of coming new ideas in their mind related to their work owing to montony of work . A survey conducted by prestigious newspaper of Britain shows the people nowadays have more weekend days than working .
However, some people consider that more working days have multifarious benefit than longer weekends . One of the major benefit is there will be no chance of adapting laziness in their life . They will be more busy and more financially benefit . For instance , if an employ work more than the usual day then they will be benefitted by substantial amount of money .
Different people have different notions but i have sound reasons to advocate that by keeping in mind about the drawbacks of more working week Therefore there should be more weekend holidays in order to break their monotany .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of shorter working weeks. The ideas are relevant, such as the impact on health and productivity, and the counter-argument regarding financial benefits is acknowledged. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. The example provided about a British newspaper is vague and lacks specific detail, and the argument regarding 'laziness' is a bit simplistic. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more concrete, well-developed examples and ensure that every point made is fully explained rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'However', 'Further', and 'For instance' to link your thoughts. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. Additionally, there are some issues with sentence flow and punctuation, such as the stray period at the end of the text, which disrupts the overall coherence. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'detrimental effect', 'monotony', and 'multifarious'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'declination of ideas' (decline) and 'adapting laziness' (adopting). There are also minor spelling errors like 'enchancing' and 'montony'. While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, you need to focus on using words more precisely and ensuring correct spelling to move into the higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with articles ('the welfare for people'), subject-verb agreement ('if an employ work'), and pluralization ('more weekend days than working'). While these errors do not generally impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly regarding verb forms and article usage.
