Student answer (Band 5.5)
Yes, I m completely agree about this statement. The working week should have a longer weekend , because mostly farmers very hard working every week and not take care for your yourself. But they should take care of yourself. I prefer long weekend if I talk about week area so they are very difficult long take weekend because every things prices very high like foods, cloths, tools, etc.
So, impossible take weekend for farmers. overall, the working week should be shorter is good idea but farmers for impossible long take weekend.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 91 words. Consequently, the ideas are severely underdeveloped and lack the necessary depth and support required for an academic essay. While you state your position clearly at the beginning, you do not provide a balanced argument or sufficient reasoning to support your views. The focus on farmers is a relevant starting point, but it is not expanded upon to address the broader implications of a shorter working week. To improve, you must develop each point with clear explanations and relevant examples, ensuring you meet the length requirement to fully explore the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay lacks a clear structure, consisting of only two very short paragraphs. There is a lack of logical progression between ideas, and the use of cohesive devices is minimal and often inaccurate (e.g., 'So, impossible take weekend'). The sentences are disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument. To improve, you should organize your essay into a clear introduction, body paragraphs with topic sentences, and a conclusion. Use linking words such as 'furthermore', 'however', or 'consequently' to connect your ideas more effectively and improve the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is very basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'week area' and 'long take weekend', which hinder clarity. You rely on simple, everyday language that is not appropriate for an academic task. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to employment and lifestyle. Try to incorporate more precise adjectives and nouns to convey your meaning more effectively, and pay attention to how words are used together in phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are significant issues with sentence structure, subject-verb agreement, and article usage (e.g., 'mostly farmers very hard working', 'every things prices very high'). The range of structures is extremely limited, consisting mostly of simple, error-prone sentences. To improve, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, including correct verb tenses and word order. Practice writing complete, grammatically correct sentences before attempting more complex structures. Reviewing basic grammar rules regarding plurals and prepositions will also be very beneficial for your progress.
