Student answer (Band 6.0)
The working days should be fewer in the week and workers should have a longer weekend. This essay will discuss both points.
Frist and foremost, if working week should be shorter it will cause many problems the load of work will increase than usually for instance, if working week just 2 or 3 days rather than 6 days it will cause many trouble workers have to do more work in shorter time which may directly damage there health. Additionally, if workers should have longer weekend then it make them lazy and they may addicted to that environment and it also cause health issues
Turning to, if working week remain same then it will do not cause any problem like workers do not have to spend more time on the working and can easily find out time for there family and loved once. weekend should not be longer it directly effect the country productivity for example, if workers should have a longer weekend the factories remain closed and effect the economy of the country.
In my opinion, the working week should not be shorter it because then workers have more load of work and have shorter time to do more work which effect there health.
In conclusion, I totally disagree with this that working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend because it may effect there health and also they may become lazy. Moreover, it may destroy country economy because longer weekend mean fewer productivity which cause trouble.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against shortening the working week. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding health and economic productivity are repetitive and lack depth or specific examples. The essay tends to over-generalize, such as the claim that a longer weekend would make workers 'lazy' and 'addicted to that environment.' To improve, you should provide more nuanced reasoning and concrete evidence to support your claims. While all parts of the task are addressed, the lack of sophisticated development keeps this in the lower band range.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Turning to,' which is not a standard transition. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences is occasionally disjointed. For example, the transition between the health argument and the economic argument in the second paragraph is abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently,' 'furthermore,' 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that connects logically to the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'find out time' instead of 'find time' and 'loved once' instead of 'loved ones.' The range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little attempt to use less common or academic lexical items. To improve, focus on learning collocations related to work and economics, and pay closer attention to spelling and word forms to ensure your meaning is always precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'if working week remain same'), missing articles, and incorrect preposition usage. The sentence structures are predominantly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors, such as 'it because then workers have more load.' Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several run-on sentences and missing commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, before attempting more complex structures.
