Student answer (Band 7.0)
For ages, humans have been working for different sectors and organizations for earning wealth to stabilize their financial conditions. However, a recent debate arising on the issue whether the working days in a week should be 4 or 5 and many companies started reducing the working days by giving longer weekend to their employees. I strongly agree with the notion that a longer weekend can make worker more productive for some reasons.
Initially, a longer weekend can reduce work stress and boost the workers for work after long weekend. This enhance productivity and growth for organization when their workers love their work just because of this great benefit. They can also give more time to their families and can plan any tour on each weekend. For example, in some developed countries this new idea is started implementing from last some years and this single change brought so much productivity in their industrial sector because workers started showing more loyalty with their managers.
Secondly, less work can be beneficial for the worker health also because on holidays they can play sports or perform other physical activities which makes them physically fit and also enhance their brain activities. They can also spend more time in gym or in yoga sessions. For example, in many modern nations, people take their healthcare very seriously and perform different types of physical hobbies on weekends just to be prepare them for the working days where they perform good.
In conclusion, i reach to this point that a longer weekend should be implement in all the regions of the world due to its advantages for the employees and companies.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses the prompt clearly, maintaining a consistent position throughout. The ideas regarding productivity and physical health are relevant and logically linked to the argument. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the mention of 'developed countries' and 'modern nations' is vague and lacks specific, concrete examples that would strengthen the argument. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations or specific real-world illustrations of companies or industries that have successfully implemented a four-day work week. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and could be more effectively used to summarize the main points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'Initially', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there is a reliance on simple linking words. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of referencing and substitution to avoid repetitive sentence structures. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate and the flow of information is easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are some attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'industrial sector' and 'productivity'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are occasional errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'be prepare them' instead of 'prepare themselves' and 'working for different sectors... for earning wealth'. To improve, you should focus on using more precise academic collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing. The vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main points but lacks the sophistication required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and articles (e.g., 'a recent debate arising on the issue whether', 'should be implement', 'make worker more productive'). These errors are noticeable but do not significantly impede communication. To achieve a higher score, you need to demonstrate better control over complex structures and ensure subject-verb agreement and tense consistency. Proofreading for small errors like missing articles or incorrect verb endings would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
