Student answer (Band 6.0)

The working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend is the point of discussion.I agrees with the working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend for giving best positive results physically and financially to firm.

In my opinion the working days should be less for the workers because a human body needs break from regular routine work.Human being need break from work for relaxing mentally, physically and socially at the same time. When body works more then its power and ability it makes mistake Eventhough, the task is physical or intelectual. With jobs workers have their personal and social responsibilities which occupied their mind, when workers mind is absent the revinue is zero.

If the worker gets a long weekend, having much more time to acomplish his/her responcibilities ,house choars, kids happy time, friends social time ,parents take care time then what else they have to worry about to not give 110% in work while doing thier jobs.

Once i was doing both morning and evening shifts ,i was totally occupied eventhough, i forgot to take my parents medicine, skipped meals ,lacking interest in patient conditions, wasn't prepare my hospital assignment on time , not giveing much more attention to my daily duties at hospital due to alot of tasks left unfinished behind.I couldn't catchup with my friends for long which made me aggrasive as well.It all includes that over budenise the workers body and mind can effect negetivly upon both the worker and the Organization.

So, in my opinion worker should have proper time for their basic needs and respocibilities when a woker is mentally and physically relaxed he/she can put more positive efforts to work and generate positive benifits to company.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have addressed the prompt and maintained a clear position throughout the essay. You provided relevant arguments regarding the physical and mental benefits of a shorter work week, and you included a personal anecdote to support your view. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that a rested worker is more productive, this point could be expanded with more sophisticated reasoning or broader implications for society or the economy. The response is consistent with Band 6, as the ideas are relevant but occasionally under-developed, and the focus remains on the task throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite limited and sometimes mechanical. For example, you rely heavily on simple sentence structures and lack a variety of linking words to connect your ideas smoothly. Some transitions between sentences are abrupt, and the referencing (e.g., 'It all includes that...') is occasionally unclear. To improve, try using a wider range of transition signals like 'consequently,' 'furthermore,' or 'in light of this' to create better flow between your arguments.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your main points clearly. You use some topic-specific words like 'intellectual,' 'responsibilities,' and 'organization.' However, there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'revinue,' 'acomplish,' 'responcibilities,' 'choars,' 'aggrasive,' 'budenise,' 'negetivly') and some awkward word choices. The range of vocabulary is somewhat narrow, and you often repeat basic terms. To reach a higher band, focus on accurate spelling and incorporating more precise, academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater sophistication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'I agrees,' 'Human being need'), article usage, and sentence fragments. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency of the writing. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement will help improve your score.
