Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the contemporary era, the ubiquity of workers and the amount of days they work has intense global impact on the society. Consequently, it is too often to argued the topic whether the working week should be shorter and the workers should have a long weekend. I completely disagree with the statement because a human with no work is much more harmful and can also lead to employment issues.
Firstly, work is what defines a person's financial and physical status. To elucidate, when an individual has no work its brain starts to process with best or worst ideations, leading to multiple consequences. This can lead towards good results and can also end with deleterious ones. This situation occurs when people are provided with longer weekends, rather working can also help human stay healthy, physically as well as mentally. A pertinent example to this, is an enterpreneur who keeps working on regular basis and achieves success with hardwork and dedication.
Furthermore, poverty and lack of employment underscores the validity of this position. In various countries, an individual works to earn money for financial ease and to live a better life. Demand for longer weekends can lead to laziness in people, whereas, companies pay the employees and expect them to give good output in return. Also, in many developing countries both individuals in a family work to earn but still are thriving to fulfill their demands. Adding to this, if they are provided with longer weekends it gets tough for them to survive in this world.
To conclude, I firmly believe that there should be longer working days instead of longer weekends. This is due to the issues related to personal's health and employment that makes it a better opinion to have more working days.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have clearly stated your position against the proposal, which is maintained throughout the essay. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, your argument that having no work leads to 'deleterious' ideations is a strong point, but it lacks specific evidence or logical depth. The connection between longer weekends and 'laziness' is an assertion that could be better supported with more nuanced reasoning. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are fully extended with concrete examples rather than relying on generalisations about human behavior or economic survival.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', and 'To conclude' to signal the progression of your argument. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is hindered by awkward phrasing, such as in the second paragraph where the transition from the entrepreneur example to the main point is a bit abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'ubiquity', 'elucidate', and 'deleterious' appropriately. However, there are some issues with word choice and collocation that prevent a higher score. For example, 'process with best or worst ideations' is unnatural, and 'thriving to fulfill their demands' is an incorrect use of 'thriving' (you likely meant 'striving'). While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, more precise and natural collocations would improve the sophistication of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is a positive step. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. Examples include 'it is too often to argued the topic' (incorrect passive construction) and 'a human with no work is much more harmful' (vague subject). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement throughout the text. While these errors do not completely obscure your meaning, they are frequent enough to limit your score in this criterion.
