Student answer (Band 5.5)
The working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend because workers can spend more time with their family and their hobbies and after start their job their mind are feel relax. i fully agree with this opinion, i will justify my views in following paragraph.
To begin with, a longer weekends allows people to spend more times with their family or friends. Nowadays, Many employees work long hours and have a little time for their personal life. as a result, they often feel stressed and irritating. having a extra day off would help to relax their mind and enjoy their hobbies and maintain a healthier work life balance. they would return to work with more energy and a positive attitude.
Another important reason is that shorter working weeks can improve productivity and countries economical growth. when employees are well-rested, they are able to concentrate better and companies that introduced a four day working week found that workers reminded as a productive, while job satisfaction increased significantly. this shows that working fewer days does not always reduce performance. however, some people argue that a shorter working week many increase business costs or reduce production specially in hospitals. although companies can solve the problems by using shift systems or flexible working schedules.
In conclusion, i strongly agree that workers should have a shorter working week and a longer weekends because it improver their quality of life and helps their performance in better way. in my opinion their is a good way to improve our work life balance.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, clearly stating a position in favor of a shorter working week. The ideas are relevant, covering both personal benefits (family time, stress reduction) and professional implications (productivity, economic growth). However, the development is somewhat limited; while the points are clear, they could be expanded with more specific examples or deeper analysis. For instance, the mention of hospitals is a good start, but the argument regarding shift systems could be more thoroughly explained. Overall, the response is well-focused and maintains a consistent position throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Another important reason', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by minor mechanical errors in sentence structure and punctuation. Referencing is generally clear, but the transition between the counter-argument and the rebuttal in the second paragraph could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is logical, though the use of cohesive devices is sometimes a bit formulaic.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary such as 'work life balance', 'productivity', and 'job satisfaction'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'their mind are feel relax' and 'reminded as a productive'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the range and precision of the language. To reach a higher band, the student should focus on more natural collocations and avoid repetitive phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, such as subject-verb agreement ('their mind are feel relax'), capitalization issues ('i', 'Many'), and incorrect verb forms ('reminded as a productive'). Despite these errors, the meaning is generally clear, and the mistakes rarely impede the reader's understanding. To improve, the student needs to pay closer attention to basic grammatical rules, particularly verb tense consistency and sentence-level punctuation.
