Student answer (Band 5.0)
today I would like to talk about the main topic who every wrpkers favorite I think its a good for workers if the working week should be shorter and the week and longer because some peoples work has so much boring like office work the workers do work all the day inside the office and looking the same things every day they feel bored and if they get longer weakend they feel relax and spend more time with family and go for visiting there relatives and friends etc and they feel happy and active and if workers feel good the alsp dp better focus in work and gives you more progress rge feel energetic and they do work with energy its helps to achieve there targets but at the other hand if the company think work is more and if they do longer week and they work will be not complete then they try to compromise in working days do extra work and some workers are not from the same city at there office so they cannot meet there families and the feel stress and upset especially for them campanies needed to give longer weekand if weekand are long so they can visit there families and feel goods and then they do work with extra energy and gives there best to the company and same international companies are have also offers long week and and the result is very positive these companies has make more profit then others overall I think its good idea longer weakends because off it workers feel better and energatic and they do good works

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of a shorter working week. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention benefits like increased productivity and family time, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth or specific, well-supported examples. The counter-argument regarding company profits is introduced but remains underdeveloped. To improve, you should structure your essay into distinct paragraphs, each focusing on a single, well-explained point supported by a clear example or logical consequence, rather than listing ideas in a single block of text.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks paragraphing, which is a significant issue for coherence. The text is presented as one long block, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. There is a lack of cohesive devices; you rely heavily on 'and' to connect ideas, which creates a run-on effect. To improve, you must use clear paragraph breaks to separate your introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Additionally, incorporate a variety of linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'however', and 'in contrast' to improve the flow between sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive. You frequently use simple words like 'good', 'work', and 'feel'. There are also several spelling errors (e.g., 'wrpkers', 'weakend', 'alsp', 'campanies', 'energatic') and word-choice inaccuracies, such as 'some peoples work has so much boring'. To achieve a higher band score, you need to expand your range of vocabulary to include more precise, academic terms related to employment and well-being. Focus on using collocations correctly and proofreading for common spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('companies is have', 'these companies has make'), missing articles, and incorrect sentence structure. Most sentences are simple or poorly constructed compound sentences. There is a lack of complex grammatical structures, which are necessary for higher band scores. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and practicing the use of complex sentences with subordinate clauses.
