Student answer (Band 6.0)
The statement says that the working week should be shorter and weekend should be longer for workers which I disagree with it. Because this can lead to multiple loss to country and companies both. The five days working and 2 days holiday is ideal way of working.
On the one hand, in contemporary time of innovation and invention people has to work more precisely and convenient way. There are area such as healthcare, transportation and construction which need constant care. There should be s7-8 hour of working hours on weekday than only there will be growth of company and increase in country's GDP. If there is shorter weekdays then income will also decrease and many people can go through problems. The company has to pay extra for working overtime and hiring more people.
On the other hand, the shorter working and longer weekend is essential for human's physical and mental health. For example, after the stress day a person comes to home they need time to get refresh the mind. If person get enough rest and increase in productivity. There are many time when people do not get enough time with there family so longer weekend can help person to spend time with them. However, people can look for work from home or flexible time work.
In conclusion, instead for reducing so much time in working hours there can lead to less income, more pressure and higher cost to company. Instead for that company can give more bonus, trips and free environment which can help more employment and better productivity in work.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against shortening the working week. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While you provide reasons for your stance, such as economic impact and the necessity of constant care in certain sectors, some arguments are under-developed. For instance, the mention of 'many people can go through problems' is vague and lacks specific explanation. Additionally, the paragraph discussing the benefits of a longer weekend feels slightly contradictory to your stated position, as it acknowledges the advantages of rest without fully reconciling them with your main argument. To improve, ensure each point is fully supported with clear, logical explanations that directly reinforce your thesis.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' to signal shifts in perspective. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions are abrupt. For example, the transition from discussing economic growth to the potential for 'work from home' in the second paragraph is disjointed. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the progression of ideas within paragraphs is smoother and more logically connected.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your ideas clearly. You use some relevant topic-specific terms like 'GDP', 'productivity', and 'flexible time'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and awkward phrasing, such as 'multiple loss to country' (should be 'losses to the country') and 'after the stress day' (should be 'after a stressful day'). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and you rely on basic descriptors. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater nuance and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people has to work'), article usage (e.g., 'in contemporary time'), and prepositional errors. There are also some awkward sentence constructions, such as 'Instead for that company can give more bonus'. While these errors do not prevent communication, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining your use of articles and pluralization will help improve your score significantly.
