Student answer (Band 5.0)
In most of world countries working hour almost 8 hour a day but there also countries where people work 12 hour on daily routine.
In my pinion working hour in a week should be 12 hour a day and give leave of 2 days satuday and also sunday, because i think if people have two weakly leaves they can manage there work easyly and also can do there house routine works.
I also think in two weekly leaves, when workers will come back on there work they will put extra focus on thier work and can make also good disision.
For example i saw in Turkey Istanbul in Istanbul working hour are 12 hour a day and saturday, sunday are leave days.I saw thier they do works in very fast way and make lot of product and sell the products to other countries. And they also visits new favourite places on the weekends and enjy with thier families and friends and do more good activities in thier life . When they come back on thier work they more focussed on work.
On the other in my country pakistan working hour almost 8 hour a day and just a sunday leave availble for workers but most of time they didn't give also sunay leave and it is not good for the workers and also not good for the componies ,because if a worker dont take rest from work he will be not fit and will not focus on his work properly and it also heard his or her body.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, although the argument is somewhat contradictory. You suggest a 12-hour workday, which is significantly longer than the standard 8-hour day, while simultaneously arguing for a shorter working week. This internal inconsistency makes the position less persuasive. While you provide reasons and examples, such as the comparison between Turkey and Pakistan, the development of these ideas is limited. To improve, ensure your arguments are logically consistent and provide more depth in your supporting examples. The response meets the minimum length requirement, but the ideas need to be more clearly articulated to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is very limited and often repetitive (e.g., 'I also think', 'For example', 'On the other'). There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect ideas within and between sentences. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly when transitioning between the discussion of Turkey and Pakistan. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of transition signals and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly supports your main argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, relying on simple words like 'work', 'good', and 'time'. There are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'pinion' instead of 'opinion', 'satuday' instead of 'Saturday', and 'componies' instead of 'companies'. These errors, combined with the limited range of vocabulary, make the writing feel somewhat informal and imprecise. To improve, try to incorporate more academic vocabulary related to employment and productivity, and pay closer attention to spelling and word formation. Expanding your range of synonyms will help you express your ideas with greater clarity and sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The grammar is characterized by frequent errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'working hour almost 8 hour'), missing articles, and incorrect sentence structures. Punctuation is also problematic, with many run-on sentences and missing commas. While you attempt to use complex sentences, they are often grammatically incorrect, which limits your ability to convey complex ideas accurately. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structures, ensuring correct verb tenses, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and pluralization. Consistent practice with basic grammar will provide a stronger foundation for more complex structures.
