Student answer (Band 4.0)

The working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend. Yes, i am totally agree with this statement however every individual is completing his task on time so their is no need to work for long but here is a twist it depends on the job role as well if the job nature is required to work longer weekend to finished the project before the deadline so my opinion are totally change then Workers should have longer weekend work since this is a agreement with the employer or with the client to finish the task on xyz date.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 101 words. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While you state your position, the ideas are underdeveloped and lack the necessary depth, examples, or logical expansion required for an Academic Task 2 essay. The argument remains superficial, and the failure to reach the length requirement significantly impacts the ability to fully develop a coherent response. To improve, you must expand your arguments with specific examples and ensure you meet the word count to allow for a full exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The text lacks clear paragraphing and logical progression. The ideas are presented in a single, run-on block, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of your argument. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences or ideas effectively. Phrases like 'here is a twist' are too informal for an academic essay. To improve, you should structure your response into clear paragraphs—an introduction, body paragraphs with topic sentences, and a conclusion—and use linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'however' to connect your thoughts.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, relying on simple phrasing. There are issues with word choice, such as 'my opinion are totally change', which is grammatically incorrect and imprecise. The use of 'xyz date' is inappropriate for an academic context. You need to expand your range of vocabulary to include more precise, topic-specific terms related to employment, productivity, and work-life balance. Focus on using collocations correctly and avoiding informal or vague language to convey your ideas more professionally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede clarity. There are significant issues with subject-verb agreement ('my opinion are'), tense usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on, lacking proper punctuation, such as the first paragraph which is essentially one long, disjointed sentence. The lack of complex structures limits your ability to demonstrate grammatical range. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring each sentence has a clear subject and verb, and practice using punctuation to separate distinct ideas.
