Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people think that the weekends has to be lengthy and the other days of the week needs to be shorter in order to enjoy long holiday with less working. I partially agree with this notion because this is the universal rule for doing work in all the weekdays and have holiday on the weekends.
To commence with the first notion, government firms and companies made the rule that individual have to work six days a week whereas some cooperation gave holiday on Saturday also. However, this office culture going on from ages and everyone doing their job with sincerity. Moreover, if the private job workers get shorter working week, they get salary according to that as much they work. Therefore, this situation is not only shaken merely one person but also the whole economy. To cite an example, the entire system has been depended on their working capital, if one pillar shaken then all the empire will be broken.
On the other hand, some private institutes or other hubs do not pay sufficient amount to their employees as per their jobs, so it is easier and correct notion for them to reduce the time of their jobs and make it become consistent according to their jobs. Likewise, most of the private schools ask teachers to come to school even on Saturday without paying them extra or giving any bonus. Therefore, they become exhausted from their heavy jobs and ask for such demands. For instance, in private colleges, teachers not only teach their specific subject but also help scholars in other curricular activities.
In conclusion, I once again reaffirm my point that there are many agreements and disagreements in this statement because every individual has valid point to proof their point.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a partial agreement, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you provide reasons for both sides, the arguments are somewhat vague and lack logical depth. For instance, the claim that 'the entire system has been depended on their working capital' is unclear and does not effectively explain the economic impact of a shorter work week. The conclusion is also weak, as it merely states that there are 'agreements and disagreements' rather than summarizing your position clearly. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-supported argument that directly relates to the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or misused. Phrases like 'To commence with the first notion' and 'it is easier and correct notion' sound unnatural and do not effectively link ideas. Additionally, the progression of ideas within paragraphs is sometimes disjointed, making it difficult to follow the logic. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between 'private job workers' and the 'whole economy' is not explicitly explained. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will help the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'lengthy' instead of 'longer' for weekends, and 'cooperation' instead of 'corporation'. Phrases like 'shaken merely one person' are also non-standard. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the overall control is limited, and the repetition of basic words hinders the sophistication of the argument. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic terms would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. Frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'weekends has to be', 'days of the week needs to be') and article usage are present throughout the text. Some sentences are grammatically confusing, such as 'this office culture going on from ages', which lacks a proper verb. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to distract the reader. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy and proofreading for subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your score.
