Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, weekends have play a crucial role in individual's life. A group of people believe that, holidays should be longer and working days should be shorter. I strongly disagree with this view, because more working hours should be earn more money to the people and another reason is less working days may cause several demerits.
The first argument put forward for stance is that, there are enormous benefits of the country, because more working hours is not only increase the production, but it also workers also earn more wages. In addition to that, most of the people think that, individuals are more busy on their work. As a consequences, those types of employees have healthier lifestyle, It is fact that, extra work provide to employee so they are more busy on their schedule and it may decrease the risk of life threatening diseases: obesity, diabetes and blood pressure.
Furthermore, the another reason is, more working days has significantly rise the number of goods. As a result, exporting country has a positive aspect and it could be better to improve their economy. Moreover, more working days are also useful for local people as well, because they easily get their products within two or three days. To cite an example, as per the survey of the Times of India, millions of people prefer online shopping and they get their products within a week.
However, some people may counter claim that, people working more hours. As a result, those types of employee have not only time to spend their leisure time with their family, but also sometimes they feel frustrated. Additionally, workers need long break to refresh themselves. But the darker side overshadows the brighter side.
To conclude, I firmly believe that reducing length of the working week is provide positive development, as it allows people to strengthen family relationships and recover work stress, However, it is good in certain situations because workers are spend less hours on their work. It affect the transportation system.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt, but the position is inconsistent. While you state you 'strongly disagree' in the introduction, the conclusion contradicts this by stating that reducing the working week is a 'positive development.' This lack of a clear, consistent position throughout the essay significantly impacts the score. Furthermore, some ideas are underdeveloped; for instance, the claim that working more hours prevents 'life-threatening diseases' like obesity is logically weak and lacks sufficient explanation. To improve, ensure your conclusion aligns with your introduction and provide more logical, well-supported arguments for your stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, and there is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore,' 'In addition to that,' and 'To conclude.' However, the use of these devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as using 'As a consequences' (grammatically incorrect) or 'But the darker side overshadows the brighter side,' which acts as a weak transition between paragraphs. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the final paragraph where the argument shifts abruptly. Improving the logical flow between sentences and using a wider variety of linking words more naturally would enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, but there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation that occasionally impede clarity. For example, 'weekends have play a crucial role' should be 'weekends have played,' and 'more working hours should be earn more money' is awkward phrasing. You attempt some topic-specific vocabulary like 'production,' 'wages,' and 'economy,' but the overall control is limited. To reach a higher band, focus on using collocations correctly and refining your word choices to sound more natural and precise in an academic context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('weekends have play'), article usage, and sentence fragments or run-on sentences ('It is fact that, extra work provide to employee so they are more busy'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary commas often interrupting the flow of sentences. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage.
