Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the pros and cons of a shorter working week. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention the benefits of relaxation and family time, the counter-argument regarding company growth is underdeveloped and lacks specific, logical examples. The position is clear, but the arguments remain somewhat superficial. To improve, you should provide more detailed explanations or concrete examples of how a shorter week specifically impacts productivity or employee retention. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the points made in the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'Turning to the flip side'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'To embark upon' or 'Afterthat'. Additionally, some transitions between sentences are abrupt, and the logical flow within paragraphs could be smoother. The referencing is generally clear, but the overall progression of ideas feels a bit disjointed at times. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will help achieve a higher score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'majurity', 'acheive', 'numberus', and 'aniexty'. You also use some awkward phrasing, such as 'free from all awares' and 'in risk'. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic words and try to incorporate more precise collocations. For example, instead of saying 'do hard work', use 'work intensively' or 'put in significant effort'. Expanding your vocabulary to include more topic-specific terminology would also be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include 'if there is longer weekends, it will be also very affected' (subject-verb agreement and passive voice misuse) and 'long holidays are will workers to maintain' (incorrect verb usage). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are issues with sentence construction and word order. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct tense usage, and ensuring that your complex sentences are grammatically sound. Proofreading for basic errors will significantly improve your score.
