Student answer (Band 5.5)
it is often argued that working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend . i strongly agree with this view that the longer weekend helps employees to improve their mental life and and their productivity and have some time to spend time with his families.
One major benefit of the longer weekend is that they have much time to improve his well being by working consuctively for several hours they get depressed and stressful . to get out of all these things a long weekend is important for employees . if the employees has three days off in a week they are able to day many co-curricular activities such as they can spent their time in gym , they can visit a several tourist places where there mind is getting relaxed , and many physical activities can be done in that three days
another major benefit of shorter week is that it may help to improve in the productivity although reducing the number of days and working hours also affects the quantity of work completed but in the longer run if your employees are well rested and mentally relaxed they are able to make good concentration at the work and there are very slight chances to make mistakes as compared to the employees that are working constantly for many hours
The most important benefit of longer weekend is that employees can also have time to spend with their families and with that his bond with the family is getting much stronger and understanding . because there is a communication gap comes between parents and children due to its hactic and busy life routiene .
in conclusion i agree that employees have a long weekend and his working hours also be limited so they are able to work on his well being and spend time with their families and do other activities to make his mind in peace and relaxed

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of a shorter working week. The ideas are relevant, focusing on mental health, productivity, and family life. However, the development is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument regarding productivity is a bit contradictory, as you mention that reducing hours affects quantity but then claim it improves concentration. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or evidence to support your claims rather than repeating the same points about 'well-being' and 'family' across multiple paragraphs. The conclusion is a summary, but it introduces new phrasing that could have been integrated into the body paragraphs for better flow.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, phrases like 'to get out of all these things' and 'with that his bond' feel unnatural and disrupt the flow. Referencing is also inconsistent; you frequently switch between 'they' (employees) and 'his' (singular), which creates confusion. While there is a logical progression from mental health to productivity to family, the transitions between sentences are often abrupt. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'important', and 'things'. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'consuctively' (likely meant 'constructively') and 'hactic' (hectic). Collocations are occasionally awkward, such as 'make good concentration' instead of 'maintain concentration' or 'have a communication gap comes'. To improve, focus on learning more sophisticated synonyms and ensuring that words are used in their correct collocations. Spelling errors like 'routiene' also detract from the overall quality of the lexical range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues with subject-verb agreement are common, such as 'the employees has' and 'his working hours also be limited'. Punctuation is also problematic, with spaces before periods and commas, and inconsistent capitalization at the start of sentences. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar—particularly pronoun usage and verb forms—prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and consistent pronoun usage.
