Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many experts argue that working week of workers should be more flexible and labors should have a longer leave or weekend. I completely agree with the statement because vacation allow employees to spend time with the family and refresh themselves.
Firstly, having a longer weekend helps worker to spend time with family and friends or go for a trip as well. Nowadays, due to the busy schedule and a longer working hours employees are unable to provide time to families. As a result, it create an internal conflict among family member and ruin their relation. If workers get longer weekend they can give more time to children and wife which assists to improve and strengthen their relation. Consequently, longer holidays makes employees life happier and peaceful.
After that, on holidays workers can refresh their mind and increase their efficiency on work. Numerous studies have shown that working for many hours can have impact on efficiency of worker. Moreover, they can concentrate more on work rather than worry about other personal problems. As a result, work can be done effectively and complete it on time and satisfy clients.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 187 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the arguments remain superficial and lack sufficient supporting evidence or examples. While you clearly state your position in the introduction, the body paragraphs are underdeveloped. To improve, you must expand on your points by providing specific examples or hypothetical scenarios. For instance, instead of simply stating that longer weekends improve efficiency, you could discuss the psychological benefits of rest or cite a specific industry where this model has been tested. The current length prevents a full exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'As a result' to link sentences. However, the transitions are somewhat mechanical and repetitive. To reach a higher band, try to vary your linking phrases and ensure that the relationship between sentences is more sophisticated. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the overall structure feels incomplete due to the lack of a concluding paragraph, which is essential for summarizing your position and providing a sense of closure to the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'happy', and 'problem'. There are also some minor collocation errors, such as 'ruin their relation' (better: 'strain their relationships') and 'increase their efficiency on work' (better: 'increase their work efficiency'). To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and precise terminology related to the workplace, such as 'work-life balance', 'productivity', or 'professional burnout'. Expanding your vocabulary will help you express your ideas with more nuance and sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'vacation allow', 'longer holidays makes') and article usage (e.g., 'on work', 'at the family'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent. To improve, pay closer attention to pluralization and subject-verb agreement. Additionally, try to incorporate a wider variety of complex sentence structures, such as conditional clauses or passive voice, while ensuring they are used accurately to enhance the flow of your writing.
