Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, focusing on work-life balance, personal growth, and health. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the mention of 'mothers working in corporate departments' is a good start but lacks specific detail or a broader context to fully support the argument. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and introduces a vague phrase, 'claim surrounding in your house,' which is unclear. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand your supporting points with more depth and ensure that all arguments directly contribute to the central thesis without becoming repetitive.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence with,' 'Secondly,' 'Further more,' and 'To recapitulate.' However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the punctuation around 'Further more, another view point is that , person can focus...' The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring correct punctuation around them will help improve the overall cohesion of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary era,' 'corporate departments,' and 'monotonous routine.' However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'rejuvenate energy' (should be 'rejuvenated energy'), 'claim surrounding' (unclear meaning), and 'I am strongly agree' (should be 'I strongly agree'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and collocations to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with articles ('the shorter working week provide'), subject-verb agreement ('employee should have'), and pluralization ('Childs' instead of 'children', 'a new skills'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction limit the score. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
