Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people think work week can be shorter, so that they can enjoy more time with friends, family and themselves.
Having a smaller work week gives extra hours for personal hobby, creativity and self relaxation.
I totally support the thought of working from Monday to Thrusday and having a long weekend from Friday till Sunday. Since people get more time to energies, they can start any activity with a fresh mind on the first day of the week and can devote themselves in the task. A person can give there undivided attention to the work sincethey have completed all the family function, catched up with his friends on weekends and also had enough time to calm down there thoughts over the off period. During the week day everyone be it childrens or adults are busy with there own activities having a long weekend let everyperson in the family connect with eachother.
A person can be very productive if they has complete all their miscellaneous things during the weekoff which can improve the quality of work. Also, due to the hectic timelines few people are unable to cultivate any hobbies or learn any new skills. This extra time off can be beneficial for such peoples to learn and grow personally as well. Weekend can also be used for learning new skills which can be helpful in the professional environment.
Every person have different mechanism to regenuate some like spending time at home while others like to go for a quick getaway. Also, knowing that the weekend is on thrusday's everyone might also complete there designated tasks sooner so that they can enjoy the long weekend without any interruption.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of a shorter working week. The ideas are relevant, focusing on work-life balance, productivity, and personal development. However, the development is somewhat repetitive, and the arguments could be more thoroughly extended with specific examples or deeper analysis. For instance, the claim that a four-day week improves productivity is mentioned but not fully explored with a concrete example. The position is consistent throughout, but the overall depth of the argument is limited, which prevents it from reaching a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical flow of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally repetitive. For example, the transition between ideas often relies on simple connectors like 'Also' or 'Since'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'there undivided attention', where the pronoun usage is inconsistent. While the paragraphing is present, the internal structure of the paragraphs could be improved to ensure a smoother progression of ideas between sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'energies' (used as a verb), 'catched up', and 'regenuate' (likely a misspelling of regenerate). The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'hectic timelines' and 'professional environment', but the overall control is inconsistent. Spelling errors, such as 'Thrusday' and 'there' (instead of their), occur frequently, which impacts the overall impression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('Every person have', 'they has complete'), incorrect pronoun usage ('there' instead of 'their'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage in complex sentences. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of basic grammatical errors prevents the writing from demonstrating the control required for a higher band score.
