Student answer (Band 6.0)
The working week in comparison to weekend should be shorter and i completely agree to this statement. Having adequate amount of rest plays a crucial role in efficient working of workers throughout the week, while majority of the offices have six working day and one day off. T
This provision should be changed with a better schedule in order to maintain a proper work life balance among the workers. Employees have to deal a lot of conundrum at workplace and which may or may not be necessary but it drains their energy to an extend to which they are incapable of engaging with their loved ones, creating a sense of detachment from their loved ones. Accumulation of fatigue over extended period of time degrades their efficiency in the long run. Workers in some occasions have to do overtime due to professional obligation rarely gets compensated with leave which provides them with opportunity to rest.
Therefore a working week should not be more than 4 days a week, leaving them with 3 days of weekend in which they can engage more with their loved ones and take care of themselves with ample amount of rest. It will also make them more dedicated towards their professional goals while keeping them happy. This will also enable workers to be more loyal to the organization contributing to its growth while ensuring their well being in long run.
Organization should look into this matter with utmost priority as workers are the backbone of any organization and lack of skilled workers would lead to the downfall in the longer run.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating an agreement with the idea of a shorter working week. The position is consistent throughout the essay. The ideas regarding work-life balance, fatigue, and organizational loyalty are relevant and logically developed. However, the development is somewhat repetitive, and the essay lacks specific, concrete examples to support the arguments, which prevents it from reaching a higher band. The ideas are presented in a general manner, and while the main points are clear, they could be more thoroughly explored with real-world evidence or more nuanced reasoning to fully satisfy the requirements for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. The progression of ideas is generally easy to follow. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and limited. For example, the transition between the first and second paragraphs is abrupt, and the use of linking words like 'Therefore' and 'This will also' is repetitive. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking phrases to connect sentences more fluidly. The referencing is generally clear, but the overall flow feels slightly disjointed at times.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their opinions clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'conundrum', 'detachment', and 'professional obligation'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'efficient working of workers' (redundant) and 'to an extend' (spelling error). The range is sufficient to communicate the main points, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band. The repetition of basic words like 'workers' and 'organization' also limits the lexical variety.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. Examples include 'i completely agree to this statement' (should be 'with'), 'six working day' (should be 'days'), and 'rarely gets compensated' (subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. A greater focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage would be beneficial.
