Student answer (Band 5.5)

Working with shorter time period should be benefical rather than working to long and should give employees longer weekend. I strongly agree, beacuse doing work less can reduce strees and anxiety, additionally have much hours to spend with family and childrens. Furthermore, team come up with fresh minset, ratherthan having burden of work. long working weeks also enhances effeciency and built effective bonding with team members.

To begin with, weekend hoildays decreases the stress of workers. Spends much time with thier families and friends to reduce anxiety and have a relaxing environment. Also they ultilize time for northern areas trips or maintaining garden to feel calm. For instance, when I was working in Japan electronics as a sales head so company gives two holidays in a week to come up with effective ideas and a good minset. We have time for our siblings

and enjoys hoildays while making trips or having a small cousins party.

Longer weekned can also improve individual behavioural patterns due to which they easily coordinate with their staff. Sense of interaction is created with team workers where they shared interests and problems with each others. By utlizing long week days employees come up with new and decent ideas ratherthan having too much burden of work. For example having long week day off can improve beahviour with manager and staff. Employee built realtionship with each other to have conversation and relaxly share thier prons and corns.

In conclusion, In my view employee must be given 2 days off in a week beacuse it can boost productivity, althought individual will feel less stressed. Work hard and effectively to built a strong position.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of a shorter working week. The ideas regarding stress reduction and improved team dynamics are relevant. However, the development is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument about 'northern areas trips' is a bit tangential and does not strongly support the core thesis of professional productivity. While the position is consistent, the supporting points could be more sophisticated and better linked to the broader implications of a shorter work week. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and contains some grammatical errors that slightly detract from the clarity of the final summary.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'Furthermore, team come up with fresh minset' is grammatically awkward, and the use of 'For instance' and 'For example' is repetitive. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'due to which they easily coordinate with their staff,' where the antecedent is ambiguous. While there is an overall logical flow, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional awkward phrasing make the cohesion feel somewhat forced rather than natural.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'benefical', 'streess', 'hoildays', 'minset', 'effeciency', 'beahviour', 'realtionship') and some word choice issues, such as 'northern areas trips' or 'cousins party,' which are not the most academic ways to express the benefits of leisure time. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of control over spelling and the reliance on basic vocabulary limit the score. To improve, you should focus on using more precise academic collocations and proofreading for common spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'team come up', 'employee built'), missing articles (e.g., 'in Japan electronics'), and incorrect word forms (e.g., 'working to long'). The sentence 'Work hard and effectively to built a strong position' is a fragment rather than a complete sentence. While the intended meaning is usually understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy is essential.
