Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, there has been increasing disscussion about whether the working week should be reduced so that employees should have to enjoy longer weekend. I completely agree with their view because a shoter week can improve the people's well-being and increase the productivity.
The primary reason why I agree is that a shorter working week can provide employees with a better work-life balance. Many workers spend most of thier weekdays at work and have little time with friend and families. This is because shorter week is useful for the people's to spend more time with family and friend or a loved one's. Although most of them use that time for hobbies, exercise and relaxation. For instance a person having the three day weekend in that days he used the first day for household purpose and remaining two days are taken for relaxation and for enjoying. Therefore, the job holders can reduce their stress and burnout.
Another crusial reason is that reducing the working days can provide to employees to increase productivity and job performance. Although some people argue with that reducing the working hours wouls decrease the amount of work completed. Furthermore, tired employees are often less efficient and concentration on work. For example, companies introduce the flexible and shorter schedules for the employees can maintain the productivity. As a result they can work more efficiently for the company with less time of working week having better results.
To conclude, I firmly believe that working week should be reduced and employeers can get longer weekend because of to balance their work-life and also increasing the productivity of company. Therefore, employees having less stress and work more efficiently and having better outputs.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have provided two main arguments—work-life balance and productivity—which are relevant and supported by examples. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive, particularly in the second paragraph where the explanation of how a three-day weekend is spent feels slightly circular. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point adds a new layer of depth rather than restating the premise. Overall, the position is well-maintained, and the response is fully relevant to the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use cohesive devices such as 'The primary reason', 'Another crucial reason', and 'To conclude' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'Although most of them use that time for hobbies, exercise and relaxation' which lacks a clear connection to the preceding sentence. Additionally, the use of referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as 'their view' in the introduction, where the antecedent is not clearly established. Improving the flow between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'well-being', 'productivity', 'burnout', and 'efficiently'. There are some spelling errors, such as 'disscussion', 'shoter', 'thier', and 'crusial', which are noticeable. Furthermore, there are minor issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'enjoy longer weekend' (should be 'a longer weekend') and 'companies introduce the flexible and shorter schedules' (should be 'introducing'). While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the score. Expanding your range of collocations and checking for spelling accuracy will help you achieve a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the people's well-being', 'the people's to spend') and verb forms ('should have to enjoy', 'wouls decrease'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing commas after introductory phrases and some awkward phrasing that affects readability. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the text. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct usage of articles, as these are recurring issues that prevent the essay from reaching a higher level of accuracy.
