Student answer (Band 5.5)
As per my perspective, that is a good way to balance the working load and the relaxation.
On the one hand, there was a time when it used to be like there was only one holiday given to individual after six long exhausting work days. Like my father, he was government employe and only got one holiday in a week. Sometimes he was so exhausted it seemed that one day is not enough for relaxation and even worry to go on a work on other day. As per my opinion it's leaves a bad effects on mental as well as on physical health. So, if he got at least two days in a weekend there might be a chance to get relax. Every individual face consequences due their longer work days and according to their tolerating or will power.
I prefer to give a longer weekend and shorter working week. Let's assume, if there is only five days in a week to work or work in mention time only and other remaining days off from task ,it would be great for peoples mental and physical health and they even get a chance to spend time with their family and friends.
I openly agree that there should be a bit longer weekend for workers for letting out their catharsis and frustration to become more productive towards their goals/ works. It would beneficial for both parties either for employe and the organizations.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of a shorter working week. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. The essay fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the depth of the argument. While the personal example of the father is relevant, the essay lacks a broader analysis of the economic or societal implications of such a policy. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed reasoning and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for full development of your ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is sometimes disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'So', the transitions between sentences can feel mechanical or abrupt. The logical progression is present but could be strengthened by using a wider variety of linking words to connect your arguments more fluidly. Additionally, the paragraphing is a bit inconsistent, with some ideas feeling clustered. Focusing on using cohesive devices to create a smoother narrative flow will help improve your score in this area.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'good way', 'bad effects', and 'great for'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'letting out their catharsis' and 'tolerating or will power', which do not sound natural in an academic context. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and collocations related to employment and well-being to demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'he was government employe' (missing article), 'it's leaves a bad effects' (subject-verb agreement and article error), and 'Every individual face consequences' (subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors suggests a need for more careful proofreading and a better grasp of basic sentence construction and agreement rules.
