Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is widely believed that working hours should be limited to weekdays and sufficient time should be provided to employees on the end of the week. In my perspective, this is pivotal to provide weekends days-off to employees and I am completely agree with this statement and discuss in this essay.
To commence with, working-class individuals should be provided longer weekends to maintain work-life balance. In this way they will spend more with their kith and kin. Consequently, not only people build better connections and relationships bonds, but also it is beneficial for their mental health which cause stress. For instance, countries like Australia and New Zealand they are more focused on work-life balance of professionals. Therefore, these countries included in top in the happiest countries in the world list.
Another reason is that, well rested employees may concentrate better on workplace. Consequently, they will appear at work more confident and motivated. Furthermore, it facilitate to grow productivity of organisation and worker as well. Moreover, they can utilise their spare weekend time on their personal hobbies and responsibilities. As a result, working individuals less absent to their work place, as there is no stress to battle despite, of work.
In conclusion, in my opinion it should be considered positive development for working class, if it beneficial for their mental health by spending time with their family and friends and it helps to create productivity in people, because after rest workers feel more motivated and energetic and make them more available at work which is crucial for organisation well-being and growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of shorter working weeks. The ideas are relevant, focusing on work-life balance, mental health, and productivity. However, the development of these points is somewhat superficial. For instance, the mention of Australia and New Zealand is a good attempt at providing an example, but it lacks specific detail to fully support the argument. The conclusion is repetitive and does not add new insight or synthesize the arguments effectively. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your points with more detailed explanations or concrete evidence rather than just listing benefits.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Consequently', and 'Moreover' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly misused, such as 'as there is no stress to battle despite, of work', which disrupts the flow. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the progression of ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring they are used naturally will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'pivotal', 'kith and kin', and 'productivity'. However, there are instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'I am completely agree' (should be 'I completely agree') and 'facilitate to grow productivity' (should be 'facilitate the growth of productivity'). Some phrases are also slightly unnatural, such as 'working individuals less absent to their work place'. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors that hinder clarity, such as 'which cause stress' (should be 'which causes stress') and 'it facilitate to grow' (should be 'it facilitates the growth of'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are errors in sentence construction that require the reader to re-read to understand the intended meaning. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of relative clauses and prepositions.
