Student answer (Band 5.0)
The working week has traditionally consisted five days, while others people argue that employees should work fewer days and enjoy a longer weekend. I completely agree with this view, In this essay i will provide my own viewpoint.
First and foremost, working fewer hours can help employees reduce stress and maintain a better work-life balance. On the one hand, there are numerous individuals spend a large of proportion of their time at work, leaving time to spent with their families or other purpose personal work. For instance, a longer weekend allow workers to relax, travel and spend quality time with their loved one. As a result, they may return to work feeling refreshed and motivate.
In the second place, important benefits is that shorter working weeks can increase productivity. When employees work long hours, they may become tired and loss energy, which can efforted on their work. In contrast, having more time to rest can improve their focus in their works. In addition, employees salaries maintain workers might become more motivate and encourage complete their task.
To sum up, after a balanced and consideration of all perspectives, I firmly believe that employees should work fewer days and enjoy a longer weekend is most well-supported and convincing conclusion.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The essay addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which limits the depth of the arguments. While the ideas regarding work-life balance and productivity are relevant, they are not fully developed or supported with sufficient detail. The conclusion is also somewhat repetitive and lacks a summary of the main points. Because the response is 43 words short, it fails to meet the length requirement, which negatively impacts the overall development of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a basic logical progression. You use some cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'On the one hand', and 'In addition'. However, the transitions are sometimes mechanical or misused, such as 'In the second place', which is not standard academic phrasing. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences is sometimes disjointed. Improved use of linking words and better paragraph structure would help the ideas connect more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word-choice errors, such as 'large of proportion' instead of 'large proportion', and 'efforted on their work', which is not a standard collocation. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'productivity' and 'work-life balance', but the overall range is limited. To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and ensure that words are used in their correct grammatical form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'consisted five days' (missing 'of'), 'others people argue', 'time to spent' (should be 'time to spend'), and 'employees salaries maintain workers might become more motivate' (which is syntactically confused). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma splices and run-on sentences. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents a higher score.
