Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contemporary society, It has been observed that working weeks are longer and weekends are shorter due to which arguments are arised.Although, some people believe that working weeks should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend.I firmly disagree with the given statement. My inclination is elaborated in ensuring paragraphs and relevant examples.
The foremost argument to justify my stand is that if the weekends would be longer than usual it become a negative impact on workers. For instance, their become sluggy towards their work load by consistantly delaying and resting in their comfort areas.their would feel much lazy and disconnected by delaying the work.during weekends thier mind would work slow by thinking that their would have alot of time or holidays for their pending work.
Furthermore, the other reason to prove my point is that more gap between weekdays after along weekend can effect and lose of control towards work for some individuals in addition the fact that, The work seem to be more unorganized for them.
On the contrary ,some people counter claim the mentioned support. The foremost argument they do is to decrease the stress levels of work, one's should need a longer gap between work and weekends. To add to this, The work would get unorganized by too much gap between weekends and weekdays This would lead to more stress for workers.
To conclude the discussion,it can be said that despite the fact of longer weekends for workers, My reasons that their would be distracted and unorganized for their work by the longer weekens are logically acceptable.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against a shorter working week. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding workers becoming 'sluggy' or disorganized are repetitive and lack depth or concrete examples. The essay struggles to provide a sophisticated justification for the stance, often repeating the same point about disorganization in different ways. To reach a higher band, you need to expand on your reasoning with more nuanced points, such as the economic impact on businesses or the potential for increased pressure during the remaining working days, rather than focusing solely on the personal habits of employees.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. While cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'On the contrary' are used, they are sometimes applied incorrectly or do not accurately reflect the relationship between ideas. For instance, the paragraph starting with 'On the contrary' introduces a counter-argument but then immediately contradicts itself within the same paragraph, which creates confusion. The referencing is also inconsistent, with frequent misuse of pronouns like 'their' instead of 'they' or 'there', which disrupts the flow of information and makes the text harder to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and often inaccurate. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'sluggy' (likely meaning sluggish), 'consistantly', and 'effect and lose of control'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. Many words are used incorrectly, such as 'elaborated in ensuring paragraphs' (likely meaning 'ensuing'). To improve, you should focus on learning the correct forms of words and their appropriate contexts, as well as expanding your range of academic collocations to move beyond basic, repetitive language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement, incorrect pronoun usage (e.g., 'their' instead of 'they'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, and punctuation is often missing or misplaced. For example, 'their would feel much lazy' is grammatically incorrect. While there is an attempt at complex sentences, the lack of control over basic grammar means that the overall accuracy is low. You need to focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like homophones.
