Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, people are more busier in the work then ever before. It is believed by many individuals that cutting working week and lengthening the weekend would be better. I partially agree to this statement for which vindications will be elaborated in the upcoming paragraphs.
To commence with, my benefits are associated with this statement. First and foremost is , long weekends will help individuals to take more rest and get recover mentally and physically from all week work . Secondly, people will be able to spend more time with their family or loved ones which will support them emotionally .
Moreover, individuals can follow their hobbies and passion in that time which will directly lead to less stress, positive mindset and happier lifestyle. In addition, people can all complete their pending work on weekends and perform better in work or study. Therefor, is will be beneficial to make the weekends longer.
On the opposite hand, as coin has two sides, this statement also has some negative effects. Firstly, it will reduce the GDP of the country. Economy will be affected worldwide. Secondly, mankind will become more lazy and less productive because of longer weekends . Therefor, demerits cannot be avoided.
In conclusion , after studying all the aspect carefully , I believe that balance approach will be better . Because if weekends will be to long it will affect the overall world economy. But personal satisfaction is also important of human. So weekends should be longer but not too long.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of a shorter working week. You clearly state your position in the introduction and maintain it throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding the impact on GDP is mentioned but not explained in depth, and the point about 'pending work' is a bit contradictory to the idea of having more rest. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully expanded with specific examples or logical reasoning rather than just listing benefits and drawbacks. The conclusion effectively summarizes your balanced view.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Moreover', and 'On the opposite hand' to signal transitions. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'my benefits are associated with this statement'. Additionally, there are some minor issues with punctuation, such as the space before the comma in 'First and foremost is ,'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'vindications', 'mentally and physically', and 'overall world economy'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'people are more busier' (should be 'busier' or 'more busy'), 'get recover' (should be 'recover'), and 'balance approach' (should be 'a balanced approach'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and common collocations to reach a higher band level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'people are more busier in the work then ever before' (should be 'than'), 'is will be beneficial' (should be 'it will be'), and 'weekends will be to long' (should be 'too'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage also need attention. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic errors and practicing the correct use of comparative adjectives and prepositions, as these persistent errors currently limit your score.
