Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadys, it is widely argued whether the working week for working class should be reduced and workers should be provided with a longer weekend. I largely agree with the longer weekends because it helps to reduce stress and improve worklife balance and I shall reticulate my viewpoints in upcoming fragments.
To commence, there are several advantages to have longer weekends. First and foremost, it helps to reduce stress. To make it clear, longer weekends will provide enought time to workers to relax and reduce their stess related to work. Moreover, more involvement in physical fitness. Workers will have enough time to look after their health and improve it. Furthermore, it will also promote worklife balance. More time spent with family helps to have a healthy relation with their parents, kids and spouse. For instance, it is reported by the tribune that according to survey, people who provide more time to their family have high chances of happier family.
On the paradoxical side, their is a major drawback to the longer weekends . Primarily, favours reduction in economy . Due to less working days less production leading to less income which means decline of gdp .To cite an example, as per survey conducted by government of india in tata company. It was seen that longer weekend was major drawback for companies growth.
To conclude, although it demirt decline in economy leads to decline in gdp. Yet, its merits like reduction in stress, improves physical fitness and work life balance outweight its disadvantages

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention benefits like stress reduction and work-life balance, the explanations are brief and repetitive. The counter-argument regarding the economy is relevant, but the example provided (the Tata company) is vague and lacks sufficient detail to fully support the point. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main point is extended with more specific reasoning or concrete, well-explained examples rather than just listing benefits.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence', 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'On the paradoxical side'. However, some of these transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'reticulate my viewpoints in upcoming fragments'. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall readability of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'reticulate my viewpoints' and 'demirt decline'. Spelling errors like 'Nowadys', 'enought', and 'stess' are present, which detract from the professional tone. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and ensuring accurate spelling of common academic vocabulary. Avoid using overly complex words if you are not entirely sure of their meaning or context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'advantages to have' (should be 'advantages to having'), 'their is a major drawback' (should be 'there is'), and 'outweight' (should be 'outweigh'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors suggests a need for more careful proofreading and a stronger grasp of basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement.
