Student answer (Band 5.5)
Considerable amount of people assumes that after working harder during weekdays they are justified in receiving longer weekends. I completely agrees due to during shorter weekend individual an not provide enough time to their families and also and not take enough rest. Hence, giving longer weekend could beneficial.
To, begin with, Having a legible claim to longer weekends to employees helps them to provide a quality time to their belongings. For instance, my friend working with the international company. As per their beliefs workers should provide a time to their family. therefore, they grant the longer weekend to their employees, such as from Friday to Sunday. Therefore, due to the shorter working week he can provide sufficient time to their family and close ones.
Moreover, if there is less week off after the long working week employees can not take enough rest which further impact their productivity. Due to these they are unable to concentrate in their work places and behave annoying with everyone. For instance, in developing country maximum one day off is provided to the doctors and health care providers. It affects their mental health and their working productivity. They cannot perform their best in providing quality care and treatment to people which is suffering form physical and mental instability. That's why employees need sufficient time to recover form the mental tiredness.
I strongly believe that, longer weekend should provide to their employees this provide them sufficient time to recover form the mental stress and they can provide quality time to their families. Nevertheless, government should tighten current law and amend new rules regarding the minimum day off.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of a shorter working week. The ideas are relevant, focusing on family time and employee well-being. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example regarding the friend in an international company is vague, and the argument about doctors in developing countries is a strong point but could be better linked to the broader concept of a 'shorter working week' versus just 'more days off'. The position is consistent, but the supporting arguments lack the depth required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'To, begin with,' contains unnecessary punctuation, and 'Due to these' is grammatically awkward. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'their belongings,' which seems to be a misuse of the word to mean 'family members.' While there is an overall progression, the flow is frequently interrupted by errors in linking words and referencing, which makes the text feel somewhat disjointed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of word-choice errors that hinder clarity, such as 'legible claim' (likely meant 'valid claim'), 'belongings' (used to mean family), and 'behave annoying' (should be 'behave annoyingly'). The range is limited, and the student relies on basic phrasing. To improve, the student should focus on learning collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct context, as these errors occasionally cause the reader to pause and re-read.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that affect the readability of the text. There are frequent issues with subject-verb agreement ('I completely agrees'), article usage ('in developing country'), and sentence structure ('due to shorter weekend individual an not provide'). While the student attempts complex sentences, these are often marred by errors that impede communication. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. To reach a higher band, the student needs to focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors in tense and agreement.
