Student answer (Band 6.0)
These days some people seem to argue that a working week must be minimise and employees should have longer weekend. On the other hand, Others people are of the opinion against this trend. However, I agree to a great extent with the idea that shorter working week is more producitve and longer weekend brings more benefits for a normal worker.
In the first place, it would be quite interesting to note that a shorter working week can reduce a work load balance and improve productivity of an employee. They experienced less stress related to work and they will be able to complete their task effectively and effeciently in a very short period of time. One illustration for this is that if a company allow's worker for a longer weekend on the basis of their task completion perfomance then every worker try achieve their objectives. Another major advantage of this side of the topic seem to be that employees can fully focus on their startups on the remaning days of week as it helps them to grow their business as a side. For instance,a side business could also support an employee financially.
To put this issue into perspective the third most important point which is worth considering is that longer weekends also facilitate an average worker owing to he can spend more time with his children, family and friends in various leisure activities as it feel relax their mental health and worker forget their stress for a time. It also enhance a work life-balance of a employee.
In conclusion, I am convinced to say that it is indeed a debatable issue which need further analysis and discussion. However, in the light of above-discussed arguments and example. I am quite safe to conclude that the advantages of a longer weekend outweigh its disadvantages in many aspects.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, such as the link between shorter hours and productivity, and the benefits of work-life balance. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'startups' is introduced but not fully explained in relation to the shorter working week. While the position is clear, the supporting arguments could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. The conclusion effectively summarizes the stance, though it introduces the idea of the topic being 'debatable' which is slightly redundant given the clear position taken earlier.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. There is a progression of ideas from productivity to personal benefits. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In the first place', 'Another major advantage', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'To put this issue into perspective the third most important point'. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, such as 'Another major advantage of this side of the topic', which is a bit vague. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate and the flow of information is generally easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'facilitate' and 'producitve' (spelled incorrectly). However, there are several spelling errors ('producitve', 'effeciently', 'remaning', 'perfomance') and some awkward collocations, such as 'reduce a work load balance' and 'it feel relax their mental health'. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precision and better control over word choice and spelling to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors throughout, including subject-verb agreement issues ('if a company allow's worker', 'every worker try achieve', 'it feel relax'), article usage ('a employee'), and awkward phrasing ('I am convinced to say that it is indeed a debatable issue which need further analysis'). While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors is noticeable. To improve, the writer should focus on subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed with greater accuracy.
