Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that employer should give more weekoff rather than working hours. While some people believe that it is unnecessary. I agree with the statement because it helps to built up person's private life as well as his health. My statement provides significant example and argument further.
Commenting upon foremost argue that in this digital world everyone is busy to earn more money. Moreover, to survive in this costly world people runs after money and at the end they spend their most of the time in office. Furthermore, they do not have some quality time with their friends and family.
In addition, employers want more money to become their own business well known. CEO also deal with client so, under his position - workers should have to complete tasks. At the end superiors are getting more income while workers get basic wage. For example, some countries have only one day off from whole week. On that day most off people choose to take rest at home rather than gathering. They want peace so that on next they can do work with fresh mind.
On the other hand, if workers work hard they get promoted and it directly helps for company's growth. However, this is not the right way for company to complete tasks by their juniors. It affects employers directly to their physical and mental health. this is the reason for increasing anxiety and depression. People also deal with financial crises and family problems.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that employers should understand that their employees have personal life as well as the future of the nation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the task by taking a clear position in agreement with the prompt. The student attempts to support this stance by discussing personal life, health, and economic pressures. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and occasionally confusing, particularly in the third paragraph where the argument shifts abruptly to discuss employers, CEOs, and wage disparities without clearly connecting back to the core question about shorter working weeks. Furthermore, the examples provided, such as mentioning countries with only one day off, are superficial and underdeveloped. While all parts of the prompt are addressed, the reasoning lacks depth and precision, placing the response firmly at Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into distinct paragraphs, showing an attempt at structural organisation. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and confusing statements, such as 'Commenting upon foremost argue that'. Cohesive devices are used mechanically or inappropriately, and referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the pronoun shifts in 'CEO also deal with client so, under his position - workers should have to complete tasks'. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion is weak. This level of organisation aligns with the Band 5 descriptors.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, with frequent word-choice and collocation errors. Examples include 'more weekoff' instead of 'more time off' or 'shorter working hours', 'built up' instead of 'build', and 'runs after money'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'financial crises' and 'anxiety and depression', but overall control is lacking, and noticeable errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. This demonstrates the characteristics of Band 5 lexical resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are numerous grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('employer should give', 'some countries have... on that day most off people choose'), incorrect preposition use ('busy to earn'), and punctuation errors. Although meaning is usually retrievable, the high frequency of errors places this writing at Band 5.
