Student answer (Band 5.5)

IN TODAY'S WORLD, MANY PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT LESS WOERKING DAYS ARE BENIFICIAL FOR ALL THE WORKERS AND THEY DESERV A LONGER WEEKKEND TO GET RELAXED. I AM TOTALLY AGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT AND THIS ESSAY WILL ILLUSTRATE RELEVANT EXAMPLES AND REASONS.

FIRSTLY, WORKING FEW DAYS HELP EMPLOYEES TO STAY PRODUCTIVE TOWARDS THEIR WORK BECAUSE SOME TIME WORKING CONSISTENTLY CAUSE THEM WITH ENXIETY AND STRESS. PEOPLE FACE SERTAIN NUMBER OF PROBLEM BECAUSE OF WORKING LOAD AND IT AFFECTS THEIR PERSONAL AND PROFECIONAL LIVES. FOR EXAMPLE, MANY COMPANIES GIVE A LONG WEEKEND TO EVERY WORKER FOR REDUSE THE STRESS FROM THEIR WORK AND SOME COMPNIES ALSO ORGANISE MEDITATION AND THERAPY SESSIONS ON WEEEKEND FOR MAINTANING THEIR CO-WORKERS MENTAL HEALTH.

SECONDLY, IN BUSY DAYS PEOPLE CAN NOT PROVIDE TIME TO THIER FAMILIES AND FRIENDS. EVERY PERSON WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH THEIR LOVED ONES, IT IS A WAY OF REDUSING STRESS BUT BECAUSE OF HAVY BAGGAGE OF WORK AND SOME CIRCUMSTANCES THEY COULD NOT GIVE PRIORITY TO THEMSELVES TOO. MANY CONTRIES LIKE USA AND CANADA PROVIDE FOUR DAYS FOR WORKING AND THREE DAYS LONG WEEKEND TO ALL EMPLOOYS OF COMPANIES. MANY SURVEY DESCRIBE THAT THIS TYPE OF WEEK SCHEDULE MAKE THEM CONSISTENT AND GIVE THEM A BOOST FOR COMPLETE THIER WORK IN LESS TIME. THIS DECISION HAS POSSITIVE IMPACT ON EVERYONE'S LIFE BECAUSE THEY CAN ENJOY A PROPER WEEKEND WITY THEIR KITH AND KIN.

IN CONCLUSION, EVERY AUTHORITY NEED TO MAKE THIS KIND OF FRIENDLY DECISION ON THIER WORK ZONE IT ASSEST POSITIVELY TO ALL WORKERS AND THEY FREELY PAY THEIR ATTENTION TOWARD WORK ON WEEKDAYS AND ON WEEKENDS THEY CAN ENJOY WITH FAMILY WITHOUT ANY STRESS.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The student addresses all parts of the task by taking a clear position ('I am totally agree with this statement') and supporting it with relevant arguments regarding mental health, productivity, and work-life balance. The ideas are extended, discussing the impact of long working hours and citing examples of countries like the USA and Canada. However, the development tends to be somewhat generalised, and there are some sweeping claims without deeper elaboration. Nevertheless, a clear position is maintained throughout the response, satisfying the requirements for a Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response is structured into four paragraphs, following a standard essay layout with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a clear logical progression overall, indicated by sequencing markers such as 'FIRSTLY', 'SECONDLY', and 'IN CONCLUSION'. However, cohesion at the sentence level is occasionally faulty or mechanical, and referencing is sometimes imprecise, such as 'this type of week schedule make them consistent'. Paragraphing is used sufficiently, but overall cohesive devices lack the flexibility required for higher bands, placing this performance solidly at Band 6.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student attempts a range of vocabulary suitable for the task, including terms like 'productivity', 'professional lives', and 'circumstances'. However, the text contains numerous spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'WOERKING', 'BENIFICIAL', 'DESERV', 'ENXIETY', 'SERTAIN', 'PROFECIONAL', 'REDUSE', 'COMPNIES', 'CONTRIES', 'EMPLOOYS', 'POSSITIVE', 'WITY', 'ASSEST', and 'THIER'. These errors indicate limited spelling control and affect lexical accuracy, though communication is generally not impeded. These persistent lexical slips and inaccuracies correspond to a Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional and relative structures ('people face certain number of problem because of working load and it affects...'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('this type of week schedule make them'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing such as 'I am totally agree'. Punctuation is also basic, with capitalisation used inappropriately for entire phrases at the beginning of sentences and words misspelled. While meaning is generally conveyed, the high frequency of errors places this at Band 5.0.
