Student answer (Band 5.0)
Wirkers are very hardworking people. They work all the day for the best of their lives. The workers hove to work whole of the week and after that there is a very short weekend for them. They work consistently all the week and become tired at the end of the week, and then a short weekend is not enough for them. They deserve a long weekend after a hectic week.
I think workers should have a shorter working days because when they work lesser days then they become more energetic and their energy will not poor at the end of the week. They also have releif in their life and they feel peace rather than the burden whole the week. They deserve the short working week because it not only give them peace and relief,it is also beneficial for their health. When they work lesser then they will not suffer from health issues such as fever, fatigue and restlessness, etc.
I also think that they should have a longer weekend because in longer weekend they can spend time with their families and can go outside for entertainment.A longer weekend will be very good for them because they can also do proper rest after a working week and their health will be well maintained.Longer weekend has many more positive impacts such as it is necessary for the workers to take proper rest and to give time for their close ones. They will also have time to enjoy with their friends and can go to trip with their friends or family.
I think it's a very beneficial idea that lesser working days for workers and longer weekend for them. This idea has alot of better impacts for them and they will be able to live more convenient lifestyle. This idea will be very joyful for them and also for their families because they will be able to spend a little bit more time with them.At the end, this is the worthed idea which has maximum betterment ways for the lives of workers.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly taking a stance in agreement that the working week should be shorter and weekends longer. The writer provides relevant ideas, such as reducing fatigue, improving physical health, and allowing more family and leisure time. However, these ideas are somewhat repetitive and lack deeper extension or specific examples from personal experience, which keeps the task response at Band 5.5. The main position is clear throughout, but the development remains quite general and limited in scope.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, each focusing on a specific aspect of the argument. However, cohesion is frequently faulty or mechanical. There is a lack of varied cohesive devices, and sentences often start abruptly or are linked with basic connectors. Punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after commas and periods (e.g., 'people. They work', 'week, and then'), disrupt the flow of reading. While there is a discernible overall structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, the lack of smooth transitions places this criterion at Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is repetitive and basic, relying on words like 'work', 'workers', 'better', 'good', and 'time' throughout the text. There are notable word-choice errors, such as 'energy will not poor' instead of 'poor' or 'depleted', 'releif' (spelling error), and 'worthed idea' instead of 'worthwhile idea'. The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for expressing simple ideas, corresponding to a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The text relies heavily on simple sentences and basic compound structures. Attempts at complex sentences often contain grammatical inaccuracies, such as 'when they work lesser days then they become more energetic' and 'it is not only give them peace'. There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement, verb forms ('hove to work', 'lesser working days'), and punctuation spacing. These frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptor.
