Student answer (Band 5.0)
It undeniable that many people spend their most of time in working in different sectors . In this regard some believe that working weeks should be shorter workers should have a longer weekend. I agree to a some extent with this notion due to many reason which will outline in forthcoming fragment with logical conclusion .
To commence with their there are several point for regarding people do not have shorter weekdays . Firstly lower income . To explain it that if employee have fewer time for work .As they receive lower income because company paid according to numbers of hours on work . They receive low income . As result they do not complete their essential things like food clothes . Secondly Lower productivity . To clarify it that if workers reduce working time then it may effect on productivity to complete the task as many people hired by company . as it many also effect on economy of country . Moreover , in many sectors demand long hours works . To justify it that sectors like hospitals and many other fields require long hours works . in case the workers have short weekdays may effect on it . For example doctors have short weekdays then rate of death may increase . As result people will suffer from many problems if weekdays are smaller .
However there are few point for regarding this notion . First and foremost are better mental and physical health . In other words as working days are shorter it may reduce the burden from people as it may spend time by doing other activities . For example they do exercise and yoga to relax their mind and keep body fit and fine .
In conclusion although there are several drawbacks of this notion such as lower income , lower productivity .Yet the benefits of this notion can never be neglected at any cost

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The student addresses the prompt by discussing both sides of the argument regarding shorter working weeks and longer weekends, ultimately presenting a clear, albeit basic, position. Ideas are presented, but their development is limited and often repetitive. For instance, the discussion on drawbacks touches upon lower income and productivity, but the supporting examples, such as the mention of doctors and potential death rates, are underdeveloped and somewhat hyperbolic. The response covers all parts of the task minimally and meets the requirements of Band 5, where ideas are somewhat limited and lack thorough extension.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The text demonstrates some overall organisation, but the progression of ideas is frequently hindered by clumsy referencing and mechanical transitions. The student relies heavily on formulaic transition phrases such as 'To commence with', 'To explain it that', and 'To justify it that', which often introduce grammatical errors and disrupt the flow. Paragraphing is attempted, with a clear separation of opposing views and a conclusion, but internal cohesion within paragraphs is repetitive and lacks smooth logical links, placing it firmly at Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical resource is limited and displays noticeable inadequacies. The student uses basic vocabulary such as 'money', 'work', 'time', and 'life', alongside frequent word-choice and collocation errors, such as 'spend their most of time in working' and 'rate of death may increase'. Attempts at less common vocabulary are minimal or incorrect, leading to awkward phrasings like 'forthcoming fragment'. While communication is generally maintained despite these errors, the range is restricted, aligning with a Band 5 descriptor.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
Grammatical control is weak throughout the response, featuring a very limited range of structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex sentence forms are consistently flawed by missing verbs, incorrect prepositions, and structural confusion, such as in the phrase 'if employee have fewer time for work .As they receive lower income because company paid according to numbers of hours on work'. Punctuation errors, particularly regarding spacing around full stops and commas, are pervasive. Frequent errors cause difficulty and strain for the reader, fitting the Band 4 descriptor closely, though awarded a 4.5 for successfully conveying basic meaning.
