Student answer (Band 5.5)
working days in the week should be reduced and employees have enough time to rest. I partailly dissagree with this position because, employers expected objectives for setting up the establishment may not be accomplished..also,any company been set up newly maynot be able to cope However, civil servants should be given enough time to relax their because persons are to work 30 to 35 years in service before retirement.
Firstly, in a private sector, owned by one man, reducing employee working days may be problematic to the attainment of the establisment goal and objectives, due to the fact that every thing here is based on the companys proceeds and turnovers as such everyday count in the company to achieve gargets and also to able pay staff their numerations.for example, establsment like a production company that manufacture shoes, can not reduce workers shifts rather they ask for over time inother to produce more to meet expected gargets.
Secondly, A newly established company would not be able survive with this arrangement because business is built with time, as such employees needs to up and doing to elevate the establishment before request for offdays else the company will collapes and dwindle. for instance, my brother setup a business last year, He was busy giving to employees when the he need workforcein the business, today the company is no more.
However, civil servants, needs an extra time to rest owing to fact that they daily till 35 year in most cases 40 years in service before retirement because of lack of enough rest , so many of them died b

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response presents a clear position, disagreeing with the proposition for private businesses while supporting it for civil servants. The main ideas are somewhat developed, differentiating between the needs of established or new private companies and the long-term wear of public service. However, the development is occasionally limited and repetitive, and the argument lacks a fully polished structure. For instance, the distinction between private sectors and civil service is introduced, but some supporting examples, such as the personal anecdote about a brother's business, lack sufficient academic depth. Overall, the response addresses all parts of the task with relevant ideas, aligning well with the criteria for Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear division of paragraphs tackling different aspects of the prompt. Cohesive devices are used to signal progression, such as 'Firstly,' 'Secondly,' and 'However.' Nevertheless, referencing and logical transitions are sometimes faulty or mechanical. For example, sentences within paragraphs can be disjointed, and punctuation errors disrupt the flow. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final paragraph is abruptly cut off near the end of the text. Despite these structural flaws, the progression of ideas is discernible throughout, making Band 5.5 a suitable fit for this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'turnovers,' 'numerations,' and 'dwinkle.' However, there are notable spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'partailly dissagree,' 'establisment,' 'proceeds,' and 'collapes,' alongside lexical inaccuracies like 'numerations' instead of 'remunerations' and 'gargets' instead of 'targets.' While these inaccuracies occasionally interfere with precision, they do not severely impede overall communication. The lexical range is minimally adequate, justifying a score of 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, though control over grammar and punctuation is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in punctuation, capitalization, subject-verb agreement, and tense consistency, such as 'employers expected objectives,' 'any company been set up newly maynot,' and 'employees needs to up and doing.' Furthermore, incomplete sentences and abrupt endings, like 'so many of them died b,' highlight significant grammatical breakdown at the sentence level. The numerous errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, placing this response firmly at Band 5.0.
