Student answer (Band 4.5)
is It often argue that the employers should work fewer days per week and they should have the broader weekends. I completely agree with statment because employers need a long rest after working daysa and other reason that they need to spend some qualty time with thier families and loving one's.
The first reason why I agree with this view is that the employer must need some rest after the workling days. This is because continous working cause tiredness, so get rid of this tiredness a complete rest is needed. For example, a waiter works in a hotel work continosly for 4 days in a week he must need to rest for 3 days to recover the muscles and also that waiter become fresh in this way and can get back to the work actively. Therefore, a indvidual worker must need

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is severely under-length, containing only 140 words compared to the minimum requirement of 250 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas and results in an incomplete essay that cuts off mid-sentence at 'Therefore, a indvidual worker must need'. While the writer manages to state a clear position in the introduction—agreeing that workers should have a shorter working week and longer weekend—the supporting arguments are extremely limited and under-developed. The first argument regarding physical rest and recovery is introduced and illustrated briefly with a waiter example, but the second point mentioned in the introduction (spending quality time with family) is never actually discussed in the body paragraphs. Due to the major under-length penalty and lack of full task completion, this response falls into Band 4.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The essay displays some basic attempts at organisation, introducing the topic and attempting a body paragraph with a clear opening statement ('The first reason why I agree with this view is...'). However, overall progression is severely hampered by the incomplete nature of the text, which ends abruptly. Cohesive devices are basic and repetitive, such as 'The first reason why' and 'This is because'. Furthermore, paragraphing is poorly executed; the second body paragraph is entirely missing, and the text is split awkwardly before the essay even concludes. Referencing and logical flow become unclear as the writing trails off. This level of organisation aligns with the Band 4 descriptors, where information and ideas are not arranged coherently enough to form a complete piece.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, struggling with accurate word choice and spelling. Examples of lexical errors include 'employers' used instead of 'employees', 'statment', 'qualty', 'thier', 'loving one's', 'workling', 'continous', and 'indvidual'. The writer attempts some topic-related vocabulary such as 'tiredness', 'recover', and 'muscles', but the range is very limited and inadequate for academic discussion. There are frequent spelling and word-formation errors that occasionally strain the reader's understanding. However, because the vocabulary functions at a minimally adequate level for the short phrases produced, it meets the criteria for Band 5 rather than Band 4.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The grammatical range is extremely limited, consisting mostly of simple and flawed complex sentences. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'is It often argue that', 'employers should work fewer days' (confusing employers with employees), 'continous working cause tiredness', and 'to get rid of this tiredness a complete rest is needed'. Punctuation and article usage are also weak. Complex structures are attempted—for instance, 'This is because continous working cause tiredness, so get rid of this tiredness a complete rest is needed'—but they are consistently faulty, containing run-on errors and missing prepositions. These frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader and reflect a Band 5 performance.
