Student answer (Band 5.0)
The working weeks for a government employees should be shorter and introduced a longer weekends for a government workers. Simply, decrease the working weeks and increase the weekends for a governance workers. I strongly agree with this statement because employees wanted a holidays for rest and will go for a travelling.
The main reason is that the authority workers working daily and not have a more holidays for go outside and spend numerous time along with our families. Simply, they also wants a weekend for rest in our homes and sometime go outside to meet with our relatives. On the other hand, government should introduced a new working plan with the longer weekends. For instance, the employees in our neighbourhood countries have many benefits and facilities with our job.
Similarly, the workers in our country do not have many facilities along with our jobs and also the job saleries are very low. Therefore, the government worker would not go for a weekends like go for a long trip in Swat, Kalam, Kashmir, etc. The workers in the neighbouring countries have also a free medical treatments and free education but in our country a government employee teaches his children with great difficulty often they don't study at all.
In contrast, the main thing is that to soar-up the weekends and reduce the working weeks for a governance employees. Meanwhile, government should also gives the more facilities and benefits for a workers like free education, free medical treatments ,etc. So, the workers in our country taking his full rights and always working hard with our kind and good heart.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position of strong agreement that the working week should be shorter and weekends longer. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. The writer relies heavily on simple assertions rather than extending arguments with deep analysis. For instance, the reason given is that employees want rest, time with families, and to go travelling, which is a relevant point. However, the essay shifts focus significantly towards comparing local conditions with neighbouring countries regarding salaries, medical treatments, and education. While this provides some general context, it digresses slightly from the core debate about work-life balance and working hours into broader socio-economic grievances. Consequently, the ideas are somewhat under-developed, placing the response at a Band 5.0 level for this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression and overall arrangement are weak. The introduction is immediately followed by repetitive restatements of the premise, such as 'Simply, decrease the working weeks and increase the weekends for a governance workers.' Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as the abrupt transitional phrase 'On the other hand' which does not introduce a genuine contrast to the previous point. Furthermore, referencing is frequently unclear, particularly with possessive pronouns where the writer uses 'our' and 'his' ambiguously (e.g., 'spend numerous time along with our families' and 'taking his full rights'). Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs is faulty, resulting in a disjointed flow that impacts readability.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, frequently relying on simple terms like 'workers', 'government', 'facilities', and 'weekends'. There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward word choices throughout the text, such as 'soar-up the weekends' instead of extend weekends, and 'job saleries' featuring a spelling error. The writer attempts to use less common vocabulary items like 'neighbouring countries' and 'medical treatments', but these are offset by recurring collocation and word choice errors, such as 'spend numerous time' instead of spend much time. The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for expressing basic thoughts, but the repetitive phrasing and errors restrict the score to a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at more complex structures are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'The working weeks for a government employees should be shorter and introduced a longer weekends', where tense and pluralisation are confused. Other notable grammatical errors include 'not have a more holidays', 'government should introduced', and 'the workers in our country taking his full rights'. Punctuation errors, such as spaces before commas, also occur. These frequent errors cause strain and difficulty for the reader, preventing the response from reaching a higher band.
